Who Lives and Who Dies? The Horrifying General Hospital Twist That Would Upend Everything
If any episode put the “hospital” back in General Hospital in a big way, it was Tuesday’s! As Lucas worked on saving Cullum from the bullet Rocco put in him, Liz and Isaiah struggled to keep Marco alive after the WSB Director stabbed him.
It was almost impossible to tell who’d make it and who wouldn’t, until we got to the end of the episode. Or so it seemed. It’s not looking good for Cullum, while Marco seems more stable — but that could easily be setting us up to pull the rug right out from under our feet.

Imagine if Cullum stabilizes and Marco takes a turn for the worst. Lucas finds out the man he loves (which he waxed on about as his beau was bleeding on the floor of Alexis and Diane’s office) is in the hospital and goes to visit him, only for him to die before his eyes.
Lucas wouldn’t necessarily know who did this to Marco, but it wouldn’t be tough to figure out, especially once he talked to Sidwell. Imagine how much that would tear at him, knowing that he saved the life of the man who killed his love. And that’s when the two men would decide on revenge: Kill Cullum, just as he killed Marco.
Lucas’ access at the hospital would make it easy, and he’d know exactly how to do it to make it seem natural. But that would put him at risk. If any of this came out, he’d be headed straight for jail — and would likely lose his medical license forever.
We’d like to think Sidwell wouldn’t hold this over Lucas to make him do his bidding. He’d know his son would have hated that, and Lucas would be doing something Sidwell actually liked. But at the same time… Blackmail is the man’s M.O. Just ask Laura and Willow.
In the end it would, at the very least, pull the two men together in uncomfortable ways, as Lucas realizes that, much like his own niece, Josslyn, he paid a heavy price for revenge.
