Salem has been seeing quite the shaking up in the past few months as Days of Our Lives have let go a number of actors and recast more than a few characters. We’ll be meeting the new Rachel, Lorelei Olivia Mote this week, Conner Floyd is beginning his run as Chad on April 21st, Ariana’s new portrayer begins in April, and Carson Boatman (Johnny), Raven Bowens (Chanel), Leo Howard (Tate) and Ashley Puzemis (Holly) were all let go back in January. And, it turns out, Stacy Haiduk was also told that her characters would be taking a “rest” in January!

All of these changes don’t mean the show’s in dire straits, but it does seem to be going through a transition period and casting shakeup — something, that every daytime fan knows, happens from time to time! And now, on top of it all, it looks like spoilers have even Leo and Dimitri questioning what’s left for them in Salem! The two are running around Alamainia, tangling with Vivian’s goons and trying to clear Dimitri’s name in the DiMera kidnappings.

Against all odds, somehow, it seems Dimitri’s even charming his was back into Leo’s heart — a heart that we were sure belonged to Javi! And if we’re being honest, as bad as Dimitri is for Leo, the two are a lot of fun together.

And if Leo and Javi are really done, then we have to admit, there aren’t a lot of ties keeping him back in Salem. Yes, there’s his friendship with Marlena, but despite the fact that both Leo and Gwen seem to want to reconnect at times, they just won’t get past the vindictiveness.

As for Javi’s family, they may have been warming to Leo, but they’re all too happy to toss him to the side if Javi’s done with him. There’s the paper, but Chad’s been gone for a little while and we haven’t really seen much Spectator action. And who knows what direction things will go when Chad gets back in April.

As for Dimitri… Well, no one in Salem really wants him there, so if he can get his fortune back from Gwen and Leo doesn’t stick around, we can’t imagine him staying! So yeah, we have to wonder: Is this Leo and Dimitri’s swan song? We don’t know, but judging by the show’s own spoilers, they’re wondering the exact same thing.
