Today on Days of Our Lives, Stephanie tries playing into Owen’s delusions, Brady has a breakthrough and Paulina decides what to do.

Brady walks into Victoria’s hospital room to see Xander and Sarah asleep on each other’s shoulders. He sets the coffee and muffins he brought down and walks right back out.
Can Xander and Sarah Play Nice?
Steve and Kayla rush into each other’s arms in the hospital because Stephanie’s been missing forever. That or a day. It’s tough to tell in Salem. Kayla goes to check on Victoria and tell the kids parents that she’s doing great.
Once she’s gone, Sarah and Xander get all awkward and Sarah says she can take things from here. That, as you can imagine, doesn’t go over great, things escalate, they fight, Victoria starts coughing. Sarah snaps that if Xander can’t give Victoria peace and quiet and put her first, they might need to keep custody the way it is. Xander looks like a kicked dog and leaves.
Brady Cracks the Case
Steve’s finally open to Brady’s “Jeremy may not have done it” idea, which Kayla hears just as she comes back. They talk around who else it could be. They get close and after a detour into “Me” land when Steve suggests it could be an old enemy of his and Kayla’s, Brady finally recalls Owen.

Jaws drop open. Maybe it’s time to find out where he ended up. Hallelujah! (Also, this bodes well for Brady’s future.)
Will Stephanie Escape?
EJ drops in to visit his sister as Owen’s talking away to the tube. Owen freezes, barely says a word and walks out the door without ever turning around to show his face. EJ tells Lexie that he’s pretty darn confident Paulina won’t let her die, “No matter what it might cost her.”
Owen, meanwhile, finds Jeremy and Stephanie asleep on each other’s shoulders, holding hands and screams at them to stop, then sets about giving Jeremy a one-way ticket to disappearingville. Oops.

But as he’s choking Jeremy out, Stephanie yells and starts claiming her leg hurts. She talks Owen into letting her stand up and makes a big show of falling into his arms on numb legs. He, playing the gallant hero, leans in to kiss and Stephanie plays along. She reaches down towards his butt and… and pickpockets his phone.
Paulina Needs Advice
Chanel and Johnny are getting ready to celebrate as Trey’s adoption is about to be finalized. When Johnny heads to the office, Paulina shows up, needing help from her daughter. She gets all vague and just says she could make someone she loves happy, but it could ruin her.

Chanel gives Paulina some advice from Big Mama (aw, we haven’t seen her in ages): “You can never go wrong if you follow your conscience.” Bingo! A relieved Paulina rushes out.
Can EJ and Johnny Reconcile?
EJ drops in on Johnny at the office, having made up a fake name to get himself a meeting with his son. After some annoyed comments from Johnny, EJ notices his gift and takes it as a good sign. Seeing his opening, EJ launches into how much he misses Johnny and how proud of him he is. “Being a parent is being capable of a love that doesn’t need to be reciprocated.”
Chanel visits Johnny and immediately spots the christening cup for Trey. The cat is out of the bag! Johnny fesses up and apologizes, but Chanel, still worried about her own mom, understands. “Our parents, sometimes they need us more than we need them.” She might have been wrong, so let’s take the cup home!
In the Show’s Final Moments
Paulina visits the DiMera mansion to give EJ the news: She can’t deny Abe the chance to see Lexie again. “If Lexie is meant to live again,” Paulina says, “she will live again.” And if not…
Steve has Rafe dig into Owen and Brady visits Sarah now that Xander’s gone. Stephanie somehow manages to call 911 with the phone behind Owen’s back as they kiss. But then Owen hears the operator and she and Jeremy start to scream for help.
