Abe’s got a huge hug for JJ in the Pub after the cop forgot his card at the bar. They’re both happy that JJ and Theo patched things up, then Liam interrupts their lovefest to apologize again.

Shawn and Roman then join Abe and JJ and it’s a full blown Salem PD reunion! At least until Abe goes to call Paulina and Shawn and JJ get a tip on Klaus being in the Warehouse District. They run off to grab him.

Paulina’s Struggling

Paulina joins Abe and Roman to talk over the mystery of EJ’s pods, which, as you can imagine, causes the lying liar Paulina to lose her appetite fast as she pretends to be clueless. Abe’s concerned, but Paulina assures him she just has a lot on her mind. “So long as you and I are together, everything is fine. Perfect.” Yikes.

She distractedly sees herself out to “check in with the office,” and Abe tells Roman that she’s just not herself lately.

Can Dimitri Convince Andrew He’s Innocent?

Andrew fills the guys in on Dimitri being the main suspects in Vivian and Ivan’s disappearance. Loopy Leo poo poos their disappearance — “Very bad people” — then lets slip his and Dimitri’s caper the other day in Vivian’s estate, which doesn’t look good for the whole “I’m innocent” thing.

Leo then tells Andrew about the alleged poisoned tea that Dimitri saved him from, which just gives Andrew a motive! Oops. Dimitri, in turn, lays out how his innocence in being Peter’s accomplice, means Vivian was behind it. Either she or Gwen tried to kill Dimitri to shut him. Leo’s concussion gets worse and he rambles on a bit before collapsing, which finally gets Andrew to promise to take him back to the states for help. Dimitri has to stay, though. He’s still a suspect.

Did EJ Kill Vivian?

Gwen’s catching up on the latest EJ arrest news and lurid secret lab speculation when he waltzes into the living room. “You’re not in jail??” No, and he’s safely stashed his “dear, departed sister” away to continue working. After proclaiming his innocence in the Owen mess (which Gwen doesn’t really believe), he gets an earful about the mess in Alamainia, from the ISA search to the staff who flipped on Gwen.

And, well, it’s not good. EJ goes bloody well red in the face screaming Gwen down, telling her that this will not get back to him. She has to shut down the investigation with her or else. But Gwen, for her credit, isn’t intimidated, just ticked that he’s hanging her out to dry, even though HE was all in on the Dimitri kidnapping. But, as he points out, she brought Dimitri back out of pure spite to ruin Leo’s wedding and jeopardized their quest for immortality. And worse, she involved that witch, Vivian, the woman who kidnapped EJ! Luckily, she’s not a problem.

Vivian’s missing, EJ makes clear. “Possibly permanently.” He gets a call from Paulina and shoos Gwen away. She wants to know what the hell happened to Lexie, and EJ just assures her, nothing has changed. She’s still being raised.

Shootout!

Klaus tracks down Liam in the foliage-heavy… Warehouse District? It looks like the park, but OK. Klaus pulls out his gun (again), but as he’s about to complete his mission, JJ jumps in front, gun drawn, and Klaus just wings Liam’s arm. (Seriously? What horrible aim.)

But then JJ freezes and Shawn jumps in front of him, shooting it out with Klaus. Both men collapse, hit!

In the Show’s Final moments

EJ visits Lexie, now in a hospital bed in a room Rita found somewhere. Promising that that Dr. Rolf is taking good care of her. She’ll wake up and make people happy… and rich. Take note, Lexie, that’s the important one. Elsewhere, someone lays flowers on a grave marked by a tombstone that simply reads “Vivian Alamain.” Well, if that’s not revenge from EJ, we don’t know what is. *Shudder* (Is this really Vivian’s death?)

Liam runs into Ari in the square and tries running off, but she convinces her to go with her for help. JJ checks Klaus’ pulse, then calls in help for Shawn as he winces on the ground, gasping for breath and going still. (Is this it for Shawn??)
