In real life, we get it, of course. Sisters squabble. All family members do from time to time. But The Bold and the Beautiful has turned up the vitriol on Katie and Brooke’s fight so high that we’re not just looking at sibling rivals here, we’re looking at the birth of a new supervillain: Brooke!
Brooke Can’t Stand Not Getting Her Way
Whether Katie was morally right to use Eric’s designs after he hightailed it back to Forrester Creations, she certainly had every legal right; as Bill pointed out, the line was bought and handsomely paid for. And as for Brooke’s snit fit over Katie’s use of their last name for her fashion house, that outrage is entirely misdirected; if she should be yelling at anyone, it should be Carter for letting the trademark lapse.
But Brooke is so unaccustomed to not getting her way that she’s taking the battle to heights of nastiness that it needn’t reach. She’s sure that Katie is going to fail, yet rather than sit back and wait for that to happen, Brooke is vowing to destroy her baby sister’s “disgusting little fashion house” herself.

Fans Can See the Writing On the Wall
Viewers have been quick to raise their eyebrows over the quantity and quality of venom Brooke has been spewing. “OMG,” wrote mountainbreeze following Monday’s recap, “has [she] ever been more insufferable?” Cherri Linn chuckled that “ol’ Brooke used to be so concerned about Katie’s heart condition. She doesn’t seem to care at all now.”
Liza York said, “Brooke is so mean to her sister. She makes me sick.” And she may soon make the audience even sicker. Jayde could “see Brooke making a play for Bill just to prove to Katie that he’s not truly loyal to her. It would end Logan quick… and Katie’s marriage.”
Theoretically, if Brooke were to seduce Bill, it would also end her own marriage to Ridge. But they have to break up, anyway, so they can reunite again as they seem to every few years. What do you think? Does anyone think Brooke isn’t being extra awful to Katie?
