Nikki Is Slammed Out of the Abbott Mansion — Literally! — as Lily Makes Her Stance Very Clear to Cane

Cane runs into Holden by the cafe in the park. He can see he’s deep in thought and mentions how bothered Lily was when he saw her earlier. When Holden mentions it’s none of his business, Ashby wonders why he thinks he knows what’s happening in her life. He starts grilling him. Figuring he’ll know soon enough anyway, Holden explains that he and Lily just learned they share a father. It has left them in shock. Cane thanks him for that.

Audra arrives, so Ashby takes off. She invites herself to join Holden and immediately says she knows Lily is his sister. She eavesdropped on him telling “Claire bear” and complains he should have confided in her. Audra assumes he’s been opening up to “the twit’ to lure her into the sack. Holden shuts her down and assures her that their past is the last thing on his mind right now.

Traci Tells Diane to Show Some Grace

Kyle and Traci are startled when Diane returns to the Abbot manse. They wonder if this means she’s giving Jack another shot. Diane immediately says she’s only there to pick up some of her stuff. Traci urges her to stick around and hash things out with her brother. Diane has a phone full of texts from Jack, and she doesn’t want to hear more about his feelings. Traci reminds her that she faked her death and fought her way back into the family after years of deception. Is it asking too much to show Jack a little grace?

Once Traci leaves them alone, Diane admits to her son that his aunt is not wrong. She wishes she could cut Jack some slack, but her heart says otherwise. When she admits she’d give anything to go back to how things were, Kyle urges her to tell his father that.

Nikki Tells Victoria Not to Get Her Hopes Up

At Society, Victoria still refuses to admit that her daddy did anything wrong to Jack. Nikki is appalled, but Victoria is more concerned about her own parents’ marriage surviving. Her daddy was thrown off by having the company stolen and is just trying to recover. Nikki says that doesn’t give him the license he’s taking with other people’s lives. Victoria thinks her father is just terrified and worries he may have destroyed his marriage. Nikki thinks that his refusal to admit what he’s done is inhuman. She’s not sure there is any way back for them this time.

Kyle arrives and Nikki asks him to tell his father she’ll be there if he needs her. As soon as she leaves, he and Victoria begin to feud. She refuses to let her father take the blame for all that’s happened and complains that the Abbotts have no idea what it’s like to lose something you’ve built from nothing.

Cane Corners Lily

At the Athletic Club, Stephanie and Lily hope that the twins could be a match for Malcolm. The doctor is sure that all the family support, combined with a positive attitude, will help him through this. They discuss the different donation options they can seek before Stephanie hopes Lily can get to know her newfound brother. Lily admits she already questions his ethics since he works for Cane.

Cane arrives as Stephanie exits. Lily attempts to escape, but he can see how upset she is and admits Holden told him she’s his sister. She reminds her ex that they aren’t supposed to be speaking. He confesses that he is still worried about her and can’t imagine life without her.

Nikki and Diane Face-Off

Nikki is happily surprised when Diane answers the door of the Abbott manse. Diane makes it clear she has not returned to her husband, and adds that he’s not home in case Nikki has come to hold his hand.

The Final Scenes

Stephanie interrupts Holden and “Aubrey” in the park. Once Audra has taken the hint to leave, Stephanie wonders what there is between them. He changes the subject by asking after his father. His mother appreciates that Holden is concerned about Malcolm. He admits it will take a lot of time to process what’s happened, but he’s still a fan of hers. She’s holding out hope that Malcolm will be fine and he’ll get to know his sister.

Lily infuriates Cane when she refuses to confide in him. They bicker and he insists he only wants to help her. When their son starts calling, she walks away.

Victoria and Kyle continue arguing about her father destroying his family. She insists that Daddy would do anything for her family and suggests he show some compassion.

Diane tells Nikki there’s nothing she can do to make things right. When Nikki reminds her that Jack was drugged, things get worse. Diane is sick of everyone demanding she show Jack compassion. She vents about how Jack and Nikki have an unhealthy need to help each other. Suggesting she focus on her own miserable marriage, Diane slams the door on her.
