Kyle corners Victor at the Athletic Club, but the Newman isn’t impressed as Kyle complains about his relentless targeting of Jack. Victor declares that his old enemy has a penchant for “debauchery” that he can’t abide. Kyle refuses to accept that and fumes about what he did to him and Claire. Victor barely pays attention. Eventually, Kyle storms away.

Nikki is next to confront her husband, who assumes she’s still smarting about Jack. She’s appalled he continues refusing to accept any responsibility. When she assumes he planned to have the “mad woman” knock Jack off, he insists that what happened on the yacht was down to Jack’s degeneracy. Victor is adamant that this was all just business, and he thinks she should be more impressed that he got Chancellor back.

Diane Tells Michael of Her Broken Heart

Michael crashes Diane’s solo lunch to ask if she’s really left her husband. She explains that this is all Victor’s fault. He abducted Jack, stranded him on a yacht, planted Patty Williams on him, and plied them with “libido-enhancing drugs.” That’s when she caught Jack having sex with her. Michael is appalled, but he finds it hard to imagine that the Mustache was behind this. Diane explains that even Nikki has admitted it. Why can’t he walk away from Victor when he knows that he’s hurting everyone he cares about?

Michael doesn’t answer that, but he does know that she and Jack overcame a lot to rebuild their relationship. Diane doesn’t think she can get past the image of Jack in the arms of Patty that’s been seared into her brain. No doubt Jack is hurting, but she has her own broken heart to deal with.

Phyllis Drives Daniel Out

Tessa warns Daniel that she’s second-guessing going on the trip to Barcelona. She doesn’t think she should leave town while Mariah is still in the condition she’s in. He can understand it and guesses this is also because of what happened between them. She owns that, and he assures her there are no hard feelings.

After Tessa departs, Phyllis arrives and notes her son seemed cozy with Tessa. She hopes he’s not too invested since it seems like she’s reuniting with her wife. Daniel tells her his life is none of her business. They argue about her corporate crimes. She wishes her kids would get over it. She thinks he’s been in a slump and offers him his own division of Summer’s Conglomerate so he can be passionate about something again. Offended, he accuses her of trying to buy his forgiveness. He refuses to speak to her until she gives back what she stole.

Lauren arrives as Daniel swans out. Phyllis vents to her about her kids turning their backs on her. They can forgive her for faking her death, but not outdoing Victor. She has to face the fact that her son will never forgive her unless she hands Newman back.

Adam Slapped Down

In Vegas, Adam panics after the line to Nick goes dead. He raps on Riza’s door until she joins him in the hall, confused that her partner is nowhere to be seen. They go into her room and find it empty. As she wonders where her partner, “Ronnie,” has disappeared to, he tries to call his brother to no avail. They head to his suite and demand explanations from one another. Adam asks if she knows Mitch. She admits that “Ronnie” is his alias, so Adam explains his real name is Matt Clark, and he’s been tormenting his family for years. After he admits that he only returned as Spyder to find Matt, she slaps him for deceiving her.

Matt Torments Nick

Nick wakes in a storage room. Matt pulls the hood off his face and torments him. He tells Nick how dumb he is for walking straight into his trap. Nick assumes he wants to kill him. That’s too easy for Matt, who would rather feed him drugs until he sinks so far into addiction that he’s lost his identity.

Traci and Kyle Fret for the Future

When Kyle gets home, he vents to Traci about Victor. She’s sure his father is committed to winning Diane back. Her nephew has never seen his mom so angry and doubts she can get past this.

The Final Scenes

At Crimson Lights, Phyllis tells Lauren she finally got her fair shake… now her kids want to disown her. Her friend asks if what she’s gained is worth what she has lost. What if she wishes she could take it back, but it’s too late?

Kyle tells Traci his mom needs time to process her feelings. Traci thinks things will only fester. They realize that the threat Patty poses could be worse than anything Victor might do.

Diane tells Michael how much it means that she’s there for him as a friend. He knows he could try to get through to Victor, but doubts the boss would hear him.

Nikki reminds her husband that Jack had nothing to do with the attack on him. He accuses her of being blinded by her devotion to “Jackass Abbott” and barks at her to live with her choice before walking away.

Matt continues to mock “dirty junky” Nick. He declares that when Nick is left to OD, he will finally be reunited with Sharon, Sienna, and Noah.

Adam demands that Riza tell him where Nick is. She doesn’t know. He says she’d better be willing to help.
