Sarah shows up at Brady’s with a book for Rachel and he tells her he may soon be a PI. Sarah is totally onboard. Brady, she says, inherited John’s “investigative spirit!” Go, follow his father’s path! Live his life! Or his father’s life. Something like that.

But the good news is, Kristen moved out in a fit of anger! Sarah promises that despite all their screwups, Bayview is a good place and Rachel will get better, then snuggles into Brady. And they realize this is the first time they’re in a house alone. Maybe… they should start making out? Yup, that’s what they do. Wait, no, they go straight for the bedroom and strip down. That escalated quickly!

How Long Will Gwen and EJ Last?

Xander pops into the DiMera mansion, summoned by Gwen to celebrate her divorce… and Dimitri’s money! But EJ walks in and tells Xander to get the hell out. Now that things are almost coming to a head, EJ’s got no more use for Gwen. She’s his guest and once she’s divorced, she won’t be a DiMera and will be gone.

Gwen sends Xander off to the kitchen for a picnic basket and demands to know what EJ’s up to. He claims he’s doing it for appearances sake (while also letting her know her money won’t be needed soon). Xander gets back just as EJ snaps about the dangers of him snooping around, but Gwen pulls her friend-with-benefit upstairs after tweaking EJ’s nose a bit.

Kristen and Rafe Team Up

As Kristen’s wallowing in her Salem Inn room, Rafe drops by for a chat. He wants to team up to take EJ down, since she’s not going to prison. (But she’s already got some shadier plans in play with Sophia.) Surprisingly, she says yes, so Rafe lays out his (non-murderous) plan. Kristen can search the tunnels for the pod and Dr. Rolf and find something to take EJ down.

Kristen strolls into the mansion to do what she does best and lob threats at her brother for Rachel being back at Bayview. He does seem genuinely sorry, but “considering she shot me, I think I did pretty good.” Kristen promises that he’ll pay for sacrificing her daughter to save his son. She helps herself to a drink and EJ leaves her to it in disgust, just long enough for her to sneak down into the tunnels.

Are Leo and Dimitri Done?

Dimitri and Leo finally give in to each other, locking lips ferociously until… Leo starts thinking of Javi and stops. Turns out, everything he said wasn’t true! He still wants Javi in his heart! He finally made his decision — and it’s not Dimitri. (Well, that doesn’t bode well for Gwen.)

As Leo tries explaining things, Dimitri insists that Leo’s confused and loves him. But it doesn’t stop Leo from saying they’re over, even if he and Javi are, too. Once Dimitri takes it in, he starts freaking out over the divorce settlement and accuses Leo of working with Gwen to steal his money.

Dimitri’s backed into a corner and warns Leo that he blew it with Javi, then tells Leo he’s pathetic, damaged goods. He’ll be alone forever because Dimitri was his last chance. He gives one last, nasty speech before slinking out and it is crystal clear that yes, Leo will be better off alone than with Dimitri! Geeze.

In the Show’s Final Moments

Kristen sneaks into the wine cellar portion of the tunnels (in a different room after the explosion?) but finds nothing. She brings some wine back up to find EJ sitting in his chair, waiting cheerfully to call out her snooping, but neither let anything slip. They’re professional DiMeras after all.

Gwen and Xander get down to business working up an appetite before a celebratory picnic — which they don’t get to. Xander has to get back to the office, but thanks for the “super fun” time! EJ calls Rita to tell her about Kristen’s snooping as Xander walks down and overhears him.

And Rafe gets a text out in the square from Kristen saying the room was empty. Then he spots Javi and runs over for a hug as Dimitri walks out of the inn to shoot daggers from his eyes.
