Well, Days of Our Lives has certainly been doing everything in its power to fake us all out when it comes to Stephanie’s stalker and kidnapping. At this point, Steve even has poor Julie convinced that Jeremy is the villain, and she went ahead and called Mike to tell him that his son’s a psychopath! And while we’ve been very skeptical of the possibility since everyone in Salem has railroaded Jeremy into guilt, even we were worried when Stephanie woke to find Jeremy leering over her.

But it was, of course, just a nightmare, and Steph’s true kidnapper is still hidden. And according to spoilers, she’s going to be trapped tied up in that warehouse until at least Friday when she tries making her escape. And that, we’re sure, is when she’s going to come face-to-face with her kidnapper. It’s also, per Soap Opera Digest, when Wes Ramsey makes his first return appearance as Owen.

There is no way that can be coincidence. Back in one of the Kiriakis/DiMera wars, Owen grew obsessed with Stephanie while holding her captive, per EJ’s orders. (In retaliation for Victor kidnapping Stefano, of course.) To be clear, though, EJ just wanted the Kiriakis gardener to hold her hostage, he didn’t want him to get all creepy and possessive about her.

We knew this was coming. We knew Owen was returning and we even saw what looked like him in a tussle with Brady and Steve. But now that we know that he’s showing up at the height of Stephanie’s kidnapping? The misdirection is surely over. Owen has to be the one behind this all.
