Tate and Holly Are Almost Caught

Holly, meanwhile, is now grumping about buying the pregnancy test, so Tate just focuses her on taking it and moving on. Brady’s apartment is closest (and should be empty), so they head over after running into Johnny and Chanel and getting their own pregnancy news.

Before they can take the test, though, Rachel and Brady get home. Her therapist canceled and the teens fall immediately into deer in the headlights mode. But it’s fine. Brady assures them that it’s their home, too. Well, Tate’s. He sends Rachel off to do homework, then tries having The Talk with the kids about safety. They evade it, and Holly gets him to run away by sharing Victoria’s pneumonia news.

Sarah Wants a Redo With Custody

As Sarah and Xander watch over Victoria in a hospital room, the tyke gives us a helpful cough or two. Now that the adrenaline’s wearing off, Sarah starts freaking a bit, so Xander hugs her and offers some comfort like a decent human being would.

Now that things are cooling down a bit, Sarah seems to be rethinking keeping Xander from Victoria. Xander, as usual, is a bit suspicious, thinking Sarah is offering it in exchange for dropping Gwen — but she’s not. This is about Victoria and only Victoria. Justin’s busy (with his daughter-in-law’s kidnapping, because Salem) so they’ll call Melinda and get the ball rolling!

Sophia Twists Melinda’s Arm

Sophia’s in the process of boxing up her drugs when Melinda shows up. The teen’s been blowing up her phone and needs an answer about contesting Johnny and Chanel’s adoption NOW. Yeah, no. Melinda never agreed to do that. She begs Sophia to focus on the future and her recovery.

Sophia would rather spiral into villainy, so nice try, Melinda, but it ain’t getting through. Johnny and Chanel are going to forget her baby once they have their own and Melinda will help her or Sophia tells the Bar about all her unethical behavior!

Well, there goes one of the few people who genuinely cared about Sophia! No more feeling sorry for the psychopath. Melinda’s almost saved by Xander’s call, but when she tries to walk out and call Sophia’s bluff, the teen summons her back and gives her marching orders: Deliver the “gift” to Rachel, or else. Honestly, at this point Melinda, just give up the legal license and specialize in walking people through shady adoptions — in Salem, that’s bound to make you rich.

Is Chanel In Danger?

The doc tells Chanel and Johnny that things look to be going fine. In fact, they’re so fine, Johnny doesn’t get why all the doctors kept telling them to hold off on having a baby. Dr. Crawford walks them through how they’ll only be able to spot any possible cancer recurrence after delivery, but the fetus is developing normally, so things look good!

Johnny brings up Chanel’s cramps, so the doctor orders some more tests — just as a precaution! She thinks it’s fine. Afterwards, the couple agree that they’re willing to take a little risk for this.

In the Show’s Final Moments

Sophia calls Rachel to tell her the vitamins are on their way, but the kid still thinks it’s shady as hell — especially when Sophia suggests slipping them in Holly’s purse. But Sophia just railroads over Rachel, deciding she’s going to be a good friend and do it.

Holly’s a bundle of nerves waiting for the results and… it’s negative! No kidding. So now, Holly wonders, what is wrong with her? Maybe, Tate suggests, it’s time to talk to a therapist on-campus. Maybe get some bloodwork done? Please?

Melinda shows up at the hospital, gets the deets on “Xarah’s” new custody arrangement and heads out to draft the documents. Easy peasy. Xander profusely thanks Sarah, just as Brady walks in to see them awfully close!
