At Taylor’s office, she can’t understand why Ridge has just barged in. He erupts. She’s making out with a patient. Turning to Deacon, he tells him if he thinks this is happening, he’s as crazy as his wife.

Ridge recaps that Sheila has unleashed hell on his family for decades. “It ends here,” he declares. “Stay away from her.” Deacon tells him that he didn’t want a future with this beautiful woman, but he does. “I love her.” Ridge demands to talk to Taylor alone, so Deacon files out.

Ridge grunts, “What are we doing?” Taylor knows what she’s doing and won’t be judged by him. Ridge reminds her how dangerous this is… it’s not like her. What if Sheila figures this out?! He scoffs when she says she and Deacon lift each other up. Taylor informs him he doesn’t get to tell her who to love.

Sheila’s Dark Side

At Il Giardino, Sheila corners Deke and reveals she’s planning a romantic surprise for his father. He glances at her missing toes and nearly upchucks his pizza.

Sheila laughs and tells Deke he always looks at her like she’s the bad guy… but she lost her second toe protecting Steffy Forrester. Deke gripes, “Can you put that away, please?” Sheila manages to pry a smile out of him.

Deke tells Sheila he can’t get over her past. She thinks they can bond over Deacon’s success. Deke’s happy… for him. Sheila declares that she and Deacon are building something wonderful there. Deke is proud of his dad, but he’ll pass on a future with her. Sheila won’t give up. “You are going to like me. Your dad certainly does.”

Getting darker, Sheila warns Deke not to try and come between her and Deacon, “Or I’ll kill you.”

She starts laughing, “Just kidding,” but Deke is not amused. She giggles that all of that is her past. She and Deacon take their vows seriously… would it bother her if someone tried to come between them and make her look crazy? Probably… but they don’t have to think about that.

Unlucky Breaks

At Forrester, the receptionist flirts with RJ, who makes his way into the main office to greet his mom. She tells him he looks more like his handsome father every day. Mmkay. They decide to grab a bite with Ridge, and Brooke admits she’s not sure where he’s at.

Brooke probes to find out if he’s interested in anyone… Jamie the receptionist, for example? RJ names Electra, noting, “But she’s with Will.” Brooke remarks on what they’ve gone through together and mentions what they did for poor Dylan. RJ says he met her. Brooke’s sad things didn’t work out for her at Forrester. RJ frowns, “What do you mean?”

Brooke explains that Jamie got the job that might have gone to Dylan. Brooke goes over Dylan’s hard life, including the shooting and living out of her car. “A few unlucky breaks… that’s all it takes.”

Daddy’s Home

Back at Il Giardino, Deke warns Deacon that his eight-toed wife is upstairs waiting for him. Deacon heads up there, where Sheila is lighting candles and wants a nigh with “her daddy.” Deacon immediately lets her know he’s not up for it tonight. She asks if this has to do with his session with Taylor.

At Taylor’s office, she and Ridge are still going at it. He rants at her about the need to be safe. That’s why Steffy gave her an ultimatum. Deacon is not the right man for her because he comes with Sheila… and Sheila comes with mayhem. “You’ve got to understand that!”

The Final Scenes

Deke heads out back of the restaurant to throw his leftover pizza box into the dumpster. Hearing a noise he calls, “Who’s there?” No one responds, so he leaves. Dylan appears, opens the pizza box and eats a slice.

Sheila grills Deacon about his session with Taylor. He lies that he’s coming down with something, so she gives him a pass. Once alone, Deacon grimaces.

At Taylor’s office, she tells Ridge that Deacon sees her. He wants her. Ridge says of course he does… of course he’d choose her over Sheila. Taylor rails that she’s not his way out… he’s choosing her. She didn’t see this coming and marriages end. Ridge hollers about Sheila taking all of her hatred and insecurities on Taylor. “I’m right. Steffy’s right… and she’s scared. Are you scared?!”

Ridge doesn’t want to see her lose her daughter and grandchildren. Taylor sighs, “You’re right.”

Wiping away tears, she allows Ridge to hold her hands. He wants her to be happy and loved, but not Deacon. “It can’t be Deacon.” Taylor understands. She can’t see Deacon anymore. “I find love, and it has to be over.”

In his apartment, Deacon whispers, “I love you, Taylor.” Once alone in her office, crying, Taylor also whispers, “I love you, Deacon”
