Days of Our Lives saw Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) really telling off his ex-wife at the same time that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) was griping about her soon-to-be ex-husband. Very soon, Xander and Gwen are going to get some rebound action that’s going to be part revenge, maybe part romance.
And the way things are going, it definitely looks like Xander is going to be hooking up with Dimitri von Leuschner DiMera (Peter Porte)’s wife very soon.
Xander Cook and Sarah Horton Face Off Over Titan Business
It has been a busy week for both Xander and Gwen. We had Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) storming into her ex-husband’s office to rage at Xander for firing Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), even though they’re divorced. Sarah thought she was entitled to go over to his place of work and give Xander a piece of her mind about a business decision.
However, he wasn’t having any of Sarah’s complaining. Xander says yes, he fired Brady, but then Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) offered him the job back. Brady declined. And he’s the one who decided to walk away from Basic Black and Titan. He said he wanted to go do something else, calling it a blessing in disguise, if I recall correctly.
When Sarah called Xander out, he had some things to say. He told Sarah that, basically, she’s the pot calling the kettle black. Xander said Sarah is not exactly a poster girl for mental health and that she’s made a lot of mistakes. That sent Sarah out of his office fuming. After that confrontation, Xander was smart enough to call and get an urgent appointment with his shrink, Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).

At the Kiriakis mansion, Sarah lost her temper with her mom, Maggie, because she wasn’t liking what she was hearing. Sarah didn’t like it at all that Maggie suspected she had an ulterior motive to go over there and engage in that showdown with Xander. Maggie seems to think that Sarah went out of her way to pick a fight with Xander just so she could see him. That upset Sarah, who snapped and told Maggie she was dead wrong.
I also wonder how Marlena is going to advise Xander when he starts talking about his frustrations with Sarah and Brady. Marlena is Brady’s stepmom. And she wants to support Brady. Of course, he’s going to be talking to her about his blossoming relationship with Sarah. We’ve got a stepmom and a therapist role. And those are going to be contradictory on this issue on Days of our Lives.
We saw Maggie advising Sarah to be careful around Brady. She thinks that both Sarah and Brady are in a vulnerable place. But let’s be fair; Xander’s also in a vulnerable place. He was absolutely crushed when he got the papers finalizing his divorce from Sarah.
Xander and Gwen Rizczech Ignite a Heated Revenge Romance
Very soon, it looks like Xander may fall back on his old ways when it comes to Gwen because he’s so upset about the divorce. A rebound revenge romance, or at least some sizzling hot revenge sex, is what I expect to see coming soon for Xander and Gwen.
We know from the big winter promo that Xander does wind up in bed with Gwen soon. And things are getting hot and heavy between them. Xander and Gwen had a very high-intensity relationship in years past, but it’s been a minute.
While Xander is single and maybe ready to mingle soon, Gwen is still very much married to Dimitri von Leuschner DiMera. But that’s just a formality regarding his fortune; it’s a loveless marriage of convenience—or inconvenience at this point. Dimitri doesn’t even like women and he especially hates his wife, Gwen. I think she would love to climb back in the sack with Xander.
Days of our Lives: Gwen and Kristen DiMera Plot Revenge Against Dimitri and Sarah
Even more so, I bet Gwen would like to work her way back into Xander’s heart and resume the relationship they had before he got back with Sarah. They got married, had the kid. And did all that stuff. We also know that very soon Gwen and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) start plotting together to get what they want.
For Gwen, that means Xander and revenge on Dimitri. She’s hoping to frame him for the DiMera kidnappings. For Kristen, it’s likely revenge on EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), but also maybe a reunion with Brady. That means Sarah could be a problem for both Gwen and Kristen. We remember that those two have targeted Sarah together before.
Right now, Gwen could use some stress relief. And a workout in the bedroom with the hunky Scotsman could be just the ticket. Gwen’s trying to keep the lab financed while Dimitri is threatening to cut off the money flow. Gwen realized that she stepped in poop when she brought back Dimitri from his Alamainian prison, because now he’s planning to divorce her and wants every penny of his inheritance back. That is money she spent investing in the lab with EJ and Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton).
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: The Slow Road to a Xander and Sarah Reunion
Despite all of this going on, I bet Gwen would find the time for dinner, dancing, wine, and romance with Xander, followed by an enthusiastic roll in the hay. However, our leaker, who has a very good track record, told us that whatever goes on between Gwen and Xander isn’t going to last very long.
According to what they told us, Sarah and Brady get serious. They start sleeping together. And then he proposes to Sarah. That’s when she realizes Brady is not her person. And she can’t shake her feelings for Xander. Meanwhile, Sarah’s ex continues his therapy with Marlena. He may also start “doing” Gwen, but that’s not going to stick.
Rumor has it that Xander and Sarah are on a slow road towards reconciliation starting this spring, but reportedly they won’t really reunite in a meaningful way until fall. Although Gwen may go all-in with Xander again, she’s going to wind up heartbroken. If she falls for him again, it’s not going to work out. Nothing is going to come between Xander and Sarah once he realizes he has a shot to win back his ex-wife.
Days of our Lives: Jealousy and Final Destinies for the Fan-Favorite Super Couple
I suspect Marlena may encourage Xander to start dating and move on, respecting the fact that Sarah also gets to move on with whoever she wants—even if it’s Brady. But we also know that Sarah may be jealous if she finds out Xander has gotten back with Gwen. Again, Gwen and Kristen did awful things to Sarah in the past to keep her away from Xander.
Just because Gwen gets Xander into her bed doesn’t mean it’ll be romantic. It could just be physical. Xander also might be using Gwen to try and get intel on DiMera Enterprises since she’s under the same roof as the DiMera family.
Anything between Xander and Gwen is just going to be a bump in the road on Xander’s path back to Sarah. Those two are destined to be a super couple again. Fans love them together. In the end, Brady and Gwen are both going to likely wind up crushed when Xander and Sarah land in each other’s arms all over again.
Before any reunion kicks off, we’re going to soon see Gwen and Xander getting frisky in some naughty revenge rebound action. So keep watching.
