At Wit’s End, Brady Turns to Marlena — and the Accusations Fly as Xander and Sarah Fight It Out

Julie’s a bundle of nerves over the custody mediation and Jeremy’s distracted reading Stephanie and Alex’s engagement announcement. But the second Maggie drops in, Jeremy hurries out, and Julie understands why he’s annoyed.
But she’s a bit horrified to realize Maggie believes Jeremy is Stephanie’s crazed fan. She’d be angry at being accused too. That aired out, they turn to Maggie’s work stress and Xander firing Brady.
Can Jada Find Stephanie’s Stalker?
Jada visits Stephanie with congratulations. She helped Alex pick the ring out and Steph asks her to be her Maid of Honor. They rehash the bonkers Everett/Bobby thing, and speaking of terrible exes, Jada’s opened an investigation after finding the threatening posts online. But she’s heard the students, parents and administration all think Jeremy’s a standup teacher.
They can’t accuse him without proof, which is when Stephanie mentions The Plan. Jada’s got more time to help catch the guy now that the DiMeras are back. She won’t let the same thing happen to Stephanie. Steph promises she has nothing to worry about, so of course now we’re worried.
Brady Turns to Marlena
Brady asks Marlena for advice after what happened with Rachel and Sophia — who made up some excuse about sneaking out to study so she’s caught up with her studies. (It’s a new semester. The classes she was enrolled in are over.) She’s sticking to the “She can write, but not talk,” thing.

Brady doesn’t buy it, and he begs Marlena to tell him what to do. She walks through everything and, when he balks at accusing Rachel of stealing in case it makes things worse, tells him that actions have consequences, and parents have to set boundaries.
That wrapped for now, he moves onto his firing and how he’s kind of relieved. Marlena assures him he’s not letting John down and his dad would want him to do what’s best for him.
Will Rachel Behave?
Dr. Gregory stops in Rachel’s room to make sure she never helps Sophia sneak out again. To the library. After writing a note to her. That Rachel ate. The kid is fast on her feet. But the doc’s banning her from seeing Sophia, despite her freakout that the teen’s Rachel’s only friend. Fine. No more Sophia.

Jeremy visits with Get Well Soon letters from Rachel’s classmates. But she’s in a foul mood and doesn’t like Jeremy on a good day. He appreciates her honesty and says being honest about your feelings is important. He learned that in his own therapy. Speaking of, she’s got her own therapy to go to. Skedaddle, Jeremy.
Xander and Sarah Clash
Sarah barges into Xander’s office with one question: “What the hell is wrong with you?” Well, Sarah, that’s what he’s been going to Marlena to find out. Xander claims that Brady’s work has been slipping — but agrees that he’s a Royal Ass for how he handled the firing. But so is she.
He pulls out the “At least I acknowledge I have issues and am working on them,” card, then says her “fling” with Brady is just a ploy to get back at him. “I am NOT having a fling with Brady!” (Yet, Sarah. Yet.) They just keep getting louder and louder until Sarah stalks back out.

Maggie’s home already when Sarah gets there, venting all her frustration. It doesn’t help when Maggie suggests Sarah was just looking for an excuse to visit Xander. Maggie calms her and just advises Sarah to be careful with Brady. That may be too late. She caught feelings!
In the Show’s Final Moments
Marlena tells Brady to focus on his own path and enjoy the gift of spending time with his daughter. Once he leaves, Xander gives his doc a call, looking for an emergency appointment. Good lord, there are so many conflicts for Marlena here.
