Days of our Lives: Stephanie Kidnapped – Alex’s Rescue Trap Fails Spectacularly!

Days of Our Lives hints Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and Alex Kiriakis‘ (Robert Scott Wilson) plan to stop her mystery stalker is about to go sideways and pretty fast.

Days of our Lives: Stephanie Sets a Trap

As we know, Stephanie’s number one obsessive fan has been sending loads of naughty letters. And her papa Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) found the creepy fan group on the dark web. So now Stephanie has convinced Alex and Steve that they need to spring a trap to expose and catch her stalker.

And if you remember when Stephanie published the first novel, One Stormy Night, under the name Anastasia Sands, she had no idea that it was going to blow up and have this kind of impact. And of course, she was worried about the juicy Mile High Club part of the book.

Stephanie was worried that her ex-boyfriend Jeremy Horton (Trevor Donovan) may recognize activities that they did in that scene and it might trigger him. Because he wasn’t a nice guy. But Alex kind of dropped the ball.

He didn’t push Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) to make the edit and it wound up in the book. And sure enough, Jeremy read the book and he realized it was about him and he went to see Stephanie when he first got to Salem. But Jeremy also claimed he was changed and so far he does seem to be.

Is Jeremy Horton the Mystery Stalker Following Stephanie Johnson on DOOL?

Nonetheless, Steve, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu), Alex, and Stephanie assume that Jeremy is the likely stalker who’s sending the creepy fan letters. Stephanie and Alex also wrongly blamed Jeremy for outing her as Anastasia Sands, but that was EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) who was trying to get Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) off his back.

They also accused Jeremy of hacking the Salem singles app to get a date with her bestie Jada. So, basically, they’ve all decided Jeremy is an ex-pilot and ex-drug dealer turned elementary school teacher who has developed hacking skills and lurks around on the dark web when he’s not reading romance novels.

Steve Johnson Finds Dark Web Clues and Ambidextrous Evidence on Days of Our Lives

After Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) delivered the creepy fan letters that she had found, Alex was alarmed. Remember, he alerted Steve about the crazed fanboy. And Stephanie’s dad had the letters analyzed. And Steve’s got no idea who wrote them, but he’s also making assumptions. None of those are good for Jeremy.

And it turns out the letter writer is left-handed. And Jeremy is ambidextrous, which means he can write using either hand. It’s a very rare attribute. Like less than 1% of people are truly ambidextrous. So that’s why Steve moved into Stephanie and Alex’s little apartment. Because he wants to protect his “little sweetness.”

And when Steve showed Alex and Stephanie the photo that Sansfan69 posted on the dark web, they realized it was taken that very morning while Alex and Stephanie were canoodling in Horton Town Square. So they know the stalker is not just on the dark web, not just sending mail. He’s right there in Salem.

The Engagement Announcement Trap: Alex Kiriakis as Stalker Bait on DOOL

Alex, Stephanie, and Steve all agree that they need to take the information to the police. And although Alex and Steve initially pushed back on Stephanie posting the engagement announcement in the Salem Spectator, Alex finally agreed. He said, “Let’s set this trap up.” So, the announcement is bait for the trap, but really Alex is the bait.

Stephanie, Steve, and Alex all know that he’ll be the target of the stalker. That’s what they’re planning. The dark web comments were about the stalker killing Stephanie’s boyfriend to get him out of the way and making sure he doesn’t get caught so that he can be with Stephanie.

But if Jada, the cops, and Steve are all focused on Alex as the bait for the trap, they may be looking in the wrong direction. And it looks like this week, Alex, Steph, and Steve lay out a plan to trap and expose the stalker.

Owen Kent Revealed as the Stalker on Days: Does He Have a Partner?

Of course, we already know the stalker is Owen Kent (Wes Ramsey), but he may be working with somebody else behind the scenes. And if he’s got a partner in crime, helping stalk Stephanie and do all this, the trap might not work. Because it’s set for one perpetrator, not two.

Now, we know that a furious Steve is going to grab a hoodie-wearing perpetrator from behind in the park, likely assuming it’s Jeremy Horton, but it’s not going to be, though. It’s going to be Owen, a blast from the way, way back past.

Meanwhile, Stephanie is going to be kidnapped while she’s working at the hospital doing her PR job for EJ and University Hospital. But we also know that Jeremy is going to be out and about also in a black hoodie. So, that prompts a lot of questions. Are these two intentionally dressing alike to cause confusion?

Is Jeremy Horton a Red Herring or a Days of Our Lives Villain?

If you remember, the stalker was there on Halloween and he happened to be in the same mad scientist outfit that Jeremy was wearing, except the stalker had a bonus butcher knife with his costume that Jeremy didn’t have. So, it looks like either Owen is intentionally setting up Jeremy to go down for his crimes or they’re colluding and this is all intentional on Days of our Lives.

I mean, that’s the burning question. Does Owen have a partner in crime? We talked in a prior video, we made a whole video about possible partner suspects. I’ll drop a link to that video at the end if you want to check it out. But Jeremy’s possible as a co-conspirator. That’s true.

As is Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins), since we know that she’s probably given birth to Alex’s baby recently and may want to be with him. It could be with someone with ties to the DiMeras, an old prison buddy of Owen’s, maybe. For me, it feels like Jeremy is a red herring, but you never know.

Jeremy Horton Triggered by Stephanie and Alex’s Engagement

And this week, Jeremy’s going to be triggered after seeing the engagement photo of Alex and Stephanie in the paper. And that might get him, you know. Because he’s so upset about them having this happily ever after while accusing him of things. Jeremy might start poking around online about Anastasia Sands and Stephanie. And he might stumble across the forum and Owen’s post there.

And if Jeremy’s not already involved, maybe he gets involved. Because he’s tired of being blamed for something he didn’t do. You know, if Jeremy is going to be blamed, he might as well have some fun, make some mischief, targeting Stephanie and Alex in revenge for them trash-talking him around Salem. Because he was really annoyed that Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) came at him kind of hot the other day and he just couldn’t believe she was low-key accusing him of this.

Susan Banks’ Prediction and Detective Shawn Brady in Danger On DOOL

But with Steve and Alex on the case, obviously, they’re going to take every precaution to protect Stephanie. But Alex is the bait. So, they may get distracted trying to protect Alex more so than her, or their attention is divided trying to protect them both. And that’s how Owen is able to get his hands on Stephanie.

There may also be an old bait and switch scenario where Owen and his co-conspirator, maybe Jeremy, are both lurking around Salem in dark hoodies and Steve and Alex follow one of them while the other creeps into the hospital and snatches Stephanie from work.

Don’t forget, Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) predicted back in October that Stephanie’s latest book, *Write Out*, would come true. And that novel is a murder mystery about a writer. So, is that foreshadowing that something’s going to happen to Alex or Stephanie or Steve?

Plus, it looks like Detective Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) is shot in the line of duty. So, he might get injured trying to save his cousin Stephanie from Owen. Get ready, folks. I think this kidnapping plot is going to be one heck of a wild ride. And it is starting soon.
