The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) romantic future could come with some twists and turns. There was a time when Kyle was head over heels for Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), but now he’s gone all in on his new relationship with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).
That doesn’t mean Kyle has totally put Summer in the rearview mirror.
There’ll always be some love left in Kyle’s heart for Summer since they still co-parent Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) and have a beautiful family together.

The show will no doubt play up some old feelings between Summer and Kyle despite the new love that’s developing between Kyle and Claire.

All the 2025 preview spoilers have played Kyle and Claire up as a Romeo and Juliet type of love story.
Of course, Romeo and Juliet’s romance was doomed in the end, so could that mean Claire and Kyle are doomed, too?
Now that Claire has been through a final round Jordan (Colleen Zenk) mayhem, it could take a toll on her.
Claire could struggle with some guilt over her role in Jordan’s grim fate despite her desire to be rid of her.
We’ve been seeing some disturbing glimpses of what Claire’s still capable of, so Summer may develop concerns and use those against her cousin.
Regardless, Claire’s own inner turmoil could be a problem and give Summer an advantage.
If Kyle and Claire’s relationship doesn’t survive the rocky road ahead due to their feuding families, Summer’s interference and Claire’s issues, Kyle has a backup love interest in his ex.
At some point down the line, Kyle could end up remarrying Summer and kicking off a fresh chapter with her.
Whatever the case, Kyle has already had multiple weddings, so it may not be all that long until we hear more engagement news.
It’s just a matter of who Kyle will say vows to and exchange rings with when the time is right. Is Claire new wife material or will it be Summer who once again becomes Kyle’s spouse?
