The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Holden Novak’s (Nathan Owens) sinister trap may be brewing. Could Holden turn into the threat that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) won’t see coming?

Although Holden and Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) faced some tension ahead of the latter’s Nice trip, it seems like a lot of that was for show on Holden’s end.

Holden had to make it seem like he was fed up over getting fired to cover up the fact that he was still employed by “Aristotle Dumas” aka Cane.

Of course, Y&R fans know things weren’t perfect in Holden and Damian’s friendship.

Damian had anger issues and sometimes became a different person when he was bossing Holden around, but they still cared about each other.

Holden and Damian were as close as brothers once upon a time, so you can bet Holden’s going to be crushed over the fatal news.

The fact that Damian got stabbed on Cane’s property at his unhinged employee’s hands should rile Holden up.

In fact, it could leave Holden craving revenge, especially since he’ll never have a chance to make amends with Damian now that he’s gone.

Holden will be looking for someone to blame – and since Carter (Vincent Stalba) is deceased, Cane may be the next best thing.

Will Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) take advantage of Holden’s vengeful desires?

It’s easy to imagine Chelsea and Adam recruiting Holden to be part of the Newmans’ plot against Cane.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) might give the idea his full approval – at least if he decides Holden can be trusted.

Holden could be in the prime position to help with Cane’s takedown since he’s still employed by him and has been helping with all his real estate grabs.

As long as Holden can keep Cane thinking he’s loyal, he could secretly set up his boss’ downfall.
