Lily and Phyllis run into each other at the Athletic Club the second they get off their phones to their kids. They immediately begin feuding as Phyllis accuses her of pitting her kids against Cane. Lily isn’t taking parenting advice from her and accuses her of being a bad influence. Phyllis thinks Lily has been dangling a carrot before Cane and then pettily hitting him with it. How many times is she going to make him beg to be let back into her heart? Lily shoots back that Phyllis has slithered her way into Cane’s bed and only wants him to maintain his Dumas persona because it benefits her.

Lily claims she only pities Cane now. Phyllis thinks he’s admirable. His ex-wife says she can have him. She bursts out laughing when Phyllis mocks her for being born with a silver spoon. The redhead accuses her of perpetuating anger between the kids and Cane, trying to force him to live by impossible standards, and demanding he walk away from all he’s built. Lily wishes she’d crawl back under a rock. Phyllis lists all the other men she’s made miserable.

Jack Tells His Family His Plan to Save Jabot

At the Abbott estate, the family finishes their desserts and Ashley asks what is new on this side of the Atlantic. Jack admits there are problems at Jabot. Cane came back to Genoa City with an AI that could take down any company. However, Victor stole it and used it against Arabesque. Jack says they need to be ready for the Mustache to turn it on them. They need to save the company. Ashley thinks she can stop Victor, but her big brother doesn’t think even her charms can swing that. The rage Victor has over what he did to save Nikki hasn’t gone away. Billy points out Victor has tried to destroy all of them. He thinks they need to start taking shots. His brother reminds him that Newman has a weapon that could bury them.

Standing up, Jack explains that Victor is a boxer and waits for the opportunity to strike. The only way to beat him is to do something completely unexpected. He assumes Victor will attack when they launch Abbott Communications in a few days. There is nothing they can do if they continue operating as normal. Crazy as it sounds, the only way to keep the AI out is to shut everything down. Online sales would suffer, but the winter products are out, and they can come up with a script for the spring and go to distributors themselves. Their first quarter would be awful, but it could buy them three months of control over their environment. His sisters asks what their father would do. They worry the company may never recover. Jack appreciates that and is open to calling this off. Billy doesn’t have a better plan. Kyle and Diane back it too. Jack asks his sisters for their verdict. If either objects, it’s over.

Cane Surrenders to Victor

Victor and Adam worry about what must be happening with Nick in LA when Cane shows up. “I came here to surrender,” he announces. Adam repeats that they don’t have his software, but Ashby knows that’s a lie. He’s come to offer them the empire he lost due to his hubris. If they don’t buy it now, there will be nothing left worth having. Victor suggests he’s not interested. Cane only wants his original investment back. Adam lays into him as a lost cause and says he doesn’t deserve his father as a savior. Shrugging, Victor admits he could rescue him…but it’s judgment day, and he’d rather leave him twisting in the wind. Nikki and Chelsea enter, flustered to see Ashby. As Cane exits, Victor says he’ll get back to him about his proposal.

Nikki and Adam ask if he was serious. Victor declares he’s been having a perfect day. Things are going exactly as he expected. He’s left Cane a shred of hope so he won’t realize he’s leaving him to hang himself. Once the devastation to Arabesque has run its course, they will take what they want. That makes Adam smile. His father says this will be finished once he’s ground Cane down to dust.

Cane Breaks Up Lily and Phyllis

Cane wanders into the Athletic Club as Phyllis continues complaining to Lily that he could move on if he weren’t obsessed with her. He asks why they are fighting about him. Lily tells him he’s scraped the bottom of the barrel by teaming up with Phyllis. “You’re jealous,” Phyllis suggests. As the women trash each other, Cane eventually barks he’s heard enough. Lily is sure he’s enjoying this and declares Phyllis will be his downfall before flouncing off. Phyllis challenges Cane to finally pick a side. He insists he has, and he knows where he’s going next.
