Sorry, but whaaat? The Young and the Restless’ Jill, the social-climbing manicurist who stole Katherine’s husband, then married into even more money by seducing John Abbott, is warning Sally against hiring Audra at Abbott Communications? Why?
Look, I know Audra’s no saint. But it seems to me she’s being held to a different standard than Genoa City’s many other executives. How could she be a bigger risk to the company than, say, Sally, a failed fashion designer with a criminal past? Or Billy, whose business acumen mainly seems to consist of pouting and bragging that he’s the awesomest?
And need I remind us that this is Jill that we’re talking about. She’s been running around town making excuses for Cane and his nonsensical plan to take over, well, everything. Yet she casts a suspicious eye at… Audra?

I would think that Jill would actually appreciate the fact that Audra is a schemer. Wasn’t that Jill’s only real job skill when she started working at Jabot all those years ago? And that seemed to serve her awfully well, didn’t it?
Let’s not forget that Genoa City also has in its executive suites an ex-stripper who so far as we know never went to business school (Nikki), a former surgeon (Nate), a con artist (Chelsea) and a dude who once hatched a plan to blow up his entire family (Adam). Oh, and there’s also Sharon, a barista and therapist who owns a big tech company at which no one seems to work. (How long has Mariah been OOO?)
More: Young & Restless actually surprised us!
What do you think? Given that everybody in Genoa City is a conniver, isn’t Audra being held to a strangely different standard? On your way to the comments, zip through this week’s new edition of Soaps’ Burning Questions in the below photo gallery.
