The Young and the Restless Spoilers: The Newmans Finally Lose Big, Michael Torn as Victor’s World Spins Out

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that the Newmans will finally lose big, so Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will be torn as Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) world spins out.
Y&R fans know Michael recently opened up to Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) about the dilemma he’s facing.
Michael could be in the prime position to steal the AI program and help the Abbotts, but he’ll face Victor’s fury if he gets busted!
Lauren signed off on Michael deceiving Victor for the greater good, but she warned him not to get caught.
However, Michael may already be wavering on his mission now that Victor’s handed over that Roman coin and pushed for his loyalty.
Michael assured Victor that he could trust him and was sorry about there ever being any doubt.
That may have been part of Michael’s act, but we also know how much Michael craves Victor’s friendship and respect.
It seems likely Michael’s going to abandon his plot to dupe Victor and will become his loyal servant once again.
Naturally, that could reignite Michael and Laura’s debate about the risks of getting tangled up in Victor’s web.
Michael may be torn between trying to keep the peace in his marriage and being the right-hand man that Victor needs in a time of crisis.
In an interview with TV Insider, Y&R Head Writer and Executive Producer Josh Griffith dropped some hints about the major Newman drama that’s coming up in 2026.
“We’ll play the continued push/pull between Michael and Lauren as Michael continues to be sucked back into Victor’s world as things go really horribly wrong for the Newmans and how that affects his relationship with Lauren,” Griffith said.
Since things are about to go wrong for the Newman clan, there could be multiple reasons for that.
One of them will likely involve more Matt Clark aka “Mitch Bacall” (Roger Howarth) conflict since his dangerous run isn’t over yet.
Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (last played by Rainn and River Ware) also seems poised to get snatched by Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) in a wild new story, so that’ll be another path to Newman mayhem.
There’s also the matter of the AI program and the possibility it could be turned against Victor’s empire.
Although Michael may ditch the idea of stealing that program, there’s a good chance Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will team up with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to get it back and use it on Newman Enterprises.
Victor may finally face a downfall along with the rest of the Newman family, but you can bet he’ll retaliate with Michael stuck in the middle of it all.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say awful news is coming up for the Newmans, so we’ll pass along updates on all the turmoil.
