Kody shared that although he is no longer married to Janelle, he feels a connection with her. He elaborated that maybe this is their ‘karmic connection.’ It seems strange because Janelle left him and wants nothing to do with him.
Janelle, on the other hand, is also considering getting a spiritual release from Kody. She was Kody’s second wife. Meri, his first wife, was the only one who took spiritual release from him. Sister Wives star Kody’s relationship with his wives has deteriorated over the years. Now, Janelle and Meri want to cut off the last string with their ex-husband. They want their share of the Coyote Pass property. This was the land Kody and the family purchased a few years ago to build their family home.
Kody claims that he has paid for the property, so it will not be equally divided. However, Janelle presented documents proof that the money had been deducted from a joint bank account. Janelle has also decided to hire a lawyer if requested and even urged Meri to do the same.

Sister Wives star Kody Brown wonders if he still has a karmic connection with Janelle even after their split. The latter does not want any connection with him, and she even wants to get a spiritual release from him. She wants to take this step to be entirely free of him. Janelle told viewers that she learned that Meri had a spiritual release from Kody. It is like a spiritual divorce from their former family church. After that, she wondered, ‘Huh, I kind of like the idea of getting a spiritual release.’
Janelle added that she is still clueless about who to contact if she wants spiritual release. When Meri demanded spiritual release, Kody was perturbed by it, but the former was persistent. Kody also agreed that he didn’t feel it was necessary for Meri or Christine to even go through the process. He did not need any spiritual release from them. However, he agreed that he feels a spiritual connection with Janelle.
Kody added that he feels a karmic connection with Janelle. Robyn even shared that, as per their church, a couple isn’t divorced until the wife sleeps with another man. She needs to have sex with another man to attain spiritual separation. Janelle was appalled by the revelation and called it utter nonsense.
Janelle, at this point in her life, wants no other man. She told Christine that she was happy and wanted her life not to change. She added that she wouldn’t randomly sleep with any man.
