General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) already knows Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) survived the tunnel collapse on Cassadine Island. Kelly Thiebaud confirmed the news in a recent interview with SOD, so here’s how Britt found out and why Jason’s survival won’t come as a surprise.

Once Thiebaud locked in her return stint, she wanted to know all the crucial Britt details.

That’s why Thiebaud connected with GH Executive Producer Frank Valentini and Co-Head Writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten about the story ahead of her start date.

“So we did a whole call and they gave me like an update as to where this was all going and how Britt survived and everything,” Thiebaud said.

When Thiebaud found out Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) would be tracking her character down in Croatia, she expected Britt would get hit with a wave of emotions upon finding out he’s alive.

However, Korte told Thiebaud that Britt was already in the loop on Jason’s return to the land of the living.

As for how Britt knows, the answer isn’t too surprising since fans have witnessed her keeping up with Port Charles updates online.

“And Elizabeth was like, ‘No, no, she’s seen on social media that he didn’t die.’ I was like, ‘Oh, okay! Britt’s still plugged in on social media!” Thiebaud said with a laugh.

Britt was seen looking up info on the Nurses Ball – and she’s been checking out Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) social media posts about Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), too.

At some point along the way, Britt also saw that Jason made a miraculous comeback of his own, so that part won’t shock her when they come face to face.

That said, Britt will still be stunned over Jason’s arrival and the fact that he knows she’s back from the grave as well.

This is setting up a fun mess, so Kelly Thiebaud offered some hints about the complications ahead.

“There are a lot of feelings that it brings up. There are some angry moments, some soft moments … It’s really complicated!” Thiebaud confessed.
