Maurice Benard, General Hospital (GH) star Sonny Corinthos, looks fine as mulled wine after announcing that he just returned from a trip with an amazing sidekick. Fans of the daytime drama on ABC agreed that his new look seemed awesome as well. Read on and see the photo.
Looking Fine To Fans
Maurice took to his Instagram profile page at the end of April and shared a short reel of himself set to the music of Three Dog Night’s Mama Told Me (Not To Come). He and his sidekick, Sensei Majid Raees, appeared to be in an airport, as passengers with luggage were in the background.
In the reel, Raees asked a relaxed-looking Maurice, “How do you feel after the Bahamas?” Well, in the company of the stuntman, martial arts expert, actor, and trainer, the real-life Sonny Corinthos certainly looked fine.
Maurice Benard told the camera:
I feel content. I ate a lot, I swam a lot, and I loved a lot.
In his caption, the ABC actor told his fans, “IM BACK. We were Bahama bound @majidraees and…We did it all.” He added, “I am ready to go back. Who wants to go with me?”
Fans Love The Look
Many people commented on how well Benard looked, especially with a silver-gray goatee and a nice tan. One follower told him, “Maurice, you look wonderful. Love the goatee. Vacation agrees with you.”
Another Sonny fan wrote, “That tan is everything.“

From the comments, other viewers saw that Maurice Benard saw some dolphins, and that he enjoyed being with Sensei Majid Raees. Well, who wouldn’t. Anyway, when another follower wrote, “So glad you had a great time you two bring out the best in each other,” the actor popped up four red hearts.
Some stars announced their return to the USA in the last few days of April or the very beginning of May 2025, so they have likely already resumed or are just about to resume filming. One thing that looks certain is that after spending time with Raees, Maurice will be ready to get back into his scenes on the set. Hopefully, he can keep the goatee!
