General Hospital (GH) preview update for Wednesday, April 23, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) could have a worse replacement looming while Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) mulls over her best option. Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will also deal with a crisis, so let’s discuss what’s coming up in Port Charles.
At Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) place, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) will come clean about her plan to visit Michael Corinthos (last played by Chad Duell) at his clinic in Germany.
Willow might even confess that it was Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) suggestion, so how will Drew feel about all this?
It’s safe to say Drew won’t approve, so his reaction may be over the top and shock Willow in the process.
Of course, it’s also possible Drew will support the idea if he’s got ulterior motives and plans to somehow sabotage this visit in the end.
However, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) could become a saboteur instead since Jason will give her updates on Willow’s imminent clinic visit.
Jason will stand by his belief that Willow needs to work things out with Michael face to face in Germany, but Carly won’t agree.
This could ruin Carly’s custody hearing scheme, so it’ll be interesting to see what her next move is.
Regardless, our preview says Jason will definitely get an earful as he fights with Carly on Wednesday’s GH episode.
At the Metro Court, Nina will brainstorm with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) since they both want to take Drew down.
Portia will hint about the easiest way to crumble Drew and Willow’s relationship as she offers Nina some guidance.
Of course, Nina could change Willow’s whole perspective of Drew if she comes clean about the private passion they shared.
Could there come a point when Nina gets desperate enough to deliver that shocker?
Next, Dante and Lulu will have a family-related conversation.
It looks like Lulu and Dante will strategize about how to help Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) since he’s been having a rough time.
Rocco knows he connects Laura Collins (Genie Francis) to Sonny since he’s their grandchild, so he feels bad about his role in the mob backlash for the mayor – even if it isn’t really his fault.
While Dante and Lulu make some predictions about alleviating Rocco’s pressure, Laura will rush to her own defense elsewhere.
Although Laura’s been under fire for siding with Sonny, she’ll argue that pushing Sonny out of his territory could open the door to a far worse replacement.
Another more villainous option could rise up – like Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) now that he’s made Port Charles his home and is clearly plotting against Sonny.
Regardless, Laura will plead her case on Wednesday’s show, so we’ll see if she defends herself to Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) or perhaps Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot).
Speaking of Tracy, she’ll have a meeting of her own with Ezra, so he’ll pressure her to put some dollar signs behind an offer she makes.
Tracy always has a few tricks up her sleeve and can’t be trusted – though Ezra can’t be trusted either since he’s carrying out Drew’s agenda.
