General Hospital Preview Week of April 14: Portia & Kai Clash, Laura’s Press Conference Stumble, Sonny Outs Marco As Jenz’s Son
General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of April 14-18 suggest some massive plot twists on the horizon, so let’s dive into what fans should expect to see over the next five days.
First off, it looks like there will be a major conflict between Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and her daughter’s new boyfriend, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrop).
The GH preview opens up with Portia clearly stating that she cannot, in good conscience, recommend this surgery as Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) looks on in dismay.
After Portia declares this, the scenes shift to Kai boldly declaring that he is going to have this surgery.
Looks like there will be tension and drama between these three, so how will Trina deal with her mom and new beau’s differing perspectives?
Kai’s desperate to play football again, while Portia’s recommendation could be jaded by her feelings for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) – the very man footing the bill for Kai’s surgery!
Across town, the Mayor of Port Charles will have hands full with drama of her own.
The General Hospital preview shows a scene where Councilman Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) is berating Laura Collins (Genie Francis) as Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) watches on with a grin on his face.
Meanwhile Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) look on with dismay.
Laura doesn’t look overly happy, as Ezra states that, “Your allegiance should be to the people of Port Charles, and not to the local crime boss”.
As Laura has a microphone in front of her, it looks like she may be holding a press conference, and Ezra is likely saying all this as the media is present and cameras are rolling.
Lastly, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is shown with Diane Miller’s (Carolyn Hennesy) at his home.
The mob boss may have some business to conduct with his lawyer; however, he won’t be overly pleased to see Marco Rio (Adrian Anchondo) there, too.
After all, when Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) spilled the beans about being married to Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) to Sonny last week, she noted the only good thing to come of their marriage was Marco.
Sounds like Diane may bring Marco to Sonny’s home to introduce the two, and while they’ve never met, Sonny knows exactly who Marco is.
The look of shock on Diane’s face says it all when Sonny declares, “Jenz Sidwell? That’s your father, right!?” Meanwhile, Marco doesn’t look overly happy that Sonny has made the connection.
General Hospital spoilers imply that Sonny is super suspicious about Jenz, and now that his son is working for his lawyer, fans can bet he’ll feel more threatened.
There are no coincidences in Sonny’s world, so did Marco apply to Diane and Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) law firm to keep on eye on the mob boss’ legal battles to report back to his dad?
