General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) necklace could be bugged, so did Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) spy games just begin?

In GH’s December 18 episode, Brennan dropped by Carly’s place to deliver an early Christmas present, so he offered up a gorgeous new necklace and put it on her. Carly continued to play the role of a loving girlfriend as she accepted the gift.

However, it also seemed like Brennan came by to grill Carly about why she’d been spending so much time at home.

Brennan noticed Carly hadn’t been at work and quizzed her, so he’s paying attention when it comes to changes in her behavior.

Of course, there have been other times when Brennan questioned Carly’s mood and seemed suspicious.

Carly has done her best to cover, but Brennan has to know there’s a possibility her BFF Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has spilled the truth about Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) WSB status.

Brennan would be a fool if he wasn’t keeping that option in the back of his mind.

Jack might be starting to wonder if there’s another reason why Carly’s seemed a little off lately.

Brennan might assume it’s more than just the S. Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) drama and worry that maybe the jig is up when it comes to Josslyn.

Jack also knows Carly is smart since that’s part of why he was drawn to her romantically in the first place.

It’s possible that Brennan has considered the possibility that Carly is playing him.

Even if Brennan doesn’t want to believe that’s true, he’s basically trained to be suspicious at his core through his work at the WSB.

Brennan may want to know if he has anything to worry about when it comes to Carly, but he obviously can’t come right out and confront her.

It makes sense for Brennan to get sneaky, so what if a bug was planted in that necklace to record Carly’s conversations?

It could give Brennan a front-row seat for Carly’s interactions with her fugitive houseguest, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

That includes the discussion where Valentin basically spelled out all Jack’s shady actions and got Carly’s assurance that she’s all in on taking him down!

It’d be interesting if this storyline shifted to a situation where Brennan starts playing Carly, too.

Carly and Brennan could manipulate each other as they both plot revenge, so that’d be a great twist.
