Kristen wakes back up in the DiMera crypt with Tony, neither sure how long they’ve been in there. (Which is handy, with how elastic time is in Salem.) They start arguing over how bad a person Kristen is, with Tony accusing her of being a bad mother for trying to shoot EJ and not thinking of Rachel.

She shuts him down fast, which prompts Tony to bring up how similar she and Andre are, which Kristen does not like. They then get down to ticking through who did it and the realization that just about their only hope of being found is if a DiMera dies. Otherwise, no one pays respects to the dead.

Did Chanel Scare Stephanie Off?

Holly joins Stephanie at the Pub and wows her into getting the job on the spot. Out in the square, Aaron’s racing to get to Friendsgiving when Chanel stops him to gush about his baby. Aaron turns down holding Trey and runs off awkwardly, just before Alex shows up, followed shortly by Stephanie.

The two convince Chanel to join them for a bit, so she sits and complains about life with a newborn. Except she promises she’s not complaining. Even though it sounds a lot like complaining. But they’re happy! Really happy! “Having a baby, it changes your life forever.” You don’t say! Stephanie and Alex take turns caring for the baby and Chanel promises they’ll make great parents.

What Will Happen to Rachel?

Brady panics when he gets to Marlena’s room (which is different from yesterday’s room) to find Belle there and their mom gone. She fills him in on the pacemaker and he sits her down to fill her in on Rachel’s attempted murder of Sarah. OK, Brady insists that Rachel didn’t know she could kill Sarah with the allergy, but still.

He then blurts out that Rachel shot EJ. But again, he says, she didn’t know what she was doing. It’s a shock, but Belle assures Brady that she and Shawn missed all the signs with Claire, too — Rachel’s young and getting help. But… if this is true, why would Kristen confess, Belle wonders?
Brady figures it out fast, which is good, because it’s not rocket science. “Kristen confessed to protect Rachel.” He’s touched that Kristen went to such lengths to protect their daughter, so once Kristen’s out of the crypt, “Bristen” can’t be too far behind.

Belle breaks the news that this will eventually have to be settled in court since Kristen’s supposedly innocent. So Brady puts on his sad face to check on Rachel.

Will Sophia Ruin Friendsgiving?

Ari arrives at Tate’s, the first for Friendsgiving and he bemoans that he’s one step away from flunking out of college. But don’t tell Holly. Being obsessed with tracking down Aaron’s baby was a huge distraction. Go figure.

Aaron and Holly show up and she tells everyone the good news about Stephanie hiring her on the spot. But what’s Thanksgiving without awkward conversations? So Aaron ruins the mood with the news of his and Ari’s Sophia visit. Nothing seemed to get through to her, so maybe Tate could try seeing her, Aaron suggests.

That idea’s met with a whole lot of crickets. Ari drags Aaron off to the kitchen, leaving Tate to apologize to Holly… and then ask for permission to visit her. That’s fine. Totally fine. Holly’s fine with it. This won’t possibly cause problems.

The other two get back and they plan out the party they’re having while Marlena is getting an operation and Belle and Brady are agonizing over Rachel. Tate settles them on Pitch Black, which is absurdly random.

In the Show’s Final Moments

Chanel, Alex and Stephanie part, and Alex brings up the whole baby thing. Stephanie’s not ready to be a parent anytime soon, which doesn’t seem to be what Alex wants to hear.

Brady gets back up and tells Belle that Dr. Fuller wants Rachel to go to Bayview. “I feel like I failed my little girl.” Belle knows a thing or two about psychotic kids, so she assures him that Rachel will get better like Claire.

Back in the crypt, Kristen finds something solid while digging and calls Tony over to see what it is.
