At the hospital, Days spoilers say Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) will come around the corner and run straight into Chad.

Once the papers that Cat’s holding go flying everywhere, Chad will bend down and help her pick them up.

That’ll give Chad and Cat a chance to exchange an awkward stare in the midst of all the chaos.

There’ll be some longing between them along with some uncomfortable moments, so Cat may ultimately scamper away from Chad in a hurry.

As for Kristen, she’ll struggle over whether to take Peter Blake (Dan Gauthier) off life support.

A DiMera family meeting is coming up to discuss this topic, so EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) will make it known that he thinks they should pull the plug.

Chad and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) will have an opportunity to weigh in as well, but none of it will matter in the end since Peter is on the verge of waking up.

Other Days spoilers say Belle Black (Martha Madison) will reach a deal with Melinda Trask (Tina Huang), so that may involve a legal plan to get Kristen’s conviction overturned.

Rachel definitely wants to come clean and make sure her mother never returns to prison.

While Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) visits Rachel for some New Year’s Eve fun, Melinda will stop by to see Sophia and put her in a tight spot.

Sophia will have to keep faking her inability to speak as Melinda gives her a hug.
