Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers hint that five second-chance couples could be on the way. Some romantic fresh start opportunities are ahead in Salem, so let’s talk about which DOOL duos will face some flying sparks.

1) Xander and Gwen

Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) divorce is final, so they’re officially free to move on with other people.

Sarah has wasted no time in falling for Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), so that may give Xander a good excuse to surrender to Gwen von Leuschner (Emily O’Brien) soon.

Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) plans to divorce Gwen as well and force her to pay back all the money she stole from him with interest.

You can bet Gwen will be stressed out and eager to reconnect with Xander, so Days spoilers say they’re going to land in bed together soon.

2) Leo and Dimitri

As for Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart), he’s determined to prove Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) is the only man for him.

Javi isn’t so sure and wants Leo to explore his true feelings, but Leo just warned Dimitri that he’s in love with Javi now.

Of course, Dimitri responded by planting a kiss on Leo, so it’s clear that he’s not giving up just yet.

Although Leo and Javi are probably the endgame couple to root for, Leo may indeed do a little exploring with Dimitri like Javi demanded.

Dimitri and Leo will get another chance to feel the spark between them, even if Leo ultimately sticks with Javi.

3) Abe and Lexie

Since all signs point to Lexie Carver (most likely Nikki Crawford in the recast role) being resurrected soon, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) will also have to deal with lingering love for his former flame.

Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) is Abe’s wife now, but that doesn’t mean he’s totally put his feelings for Lexie behind him.

Those feelings may come rushing back and make things complicated for Abe once Lexie’s revealed to be the glowing tube dweller.

4) EJ and Cat

Although EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) haven’t been a full-fledged couple before, they share a unique connection.

Cat was drawn to comatose, bandaged EJ at the clinic in Italy, but he obviously wasn’t awake and well enough for a romance.

Things are different now that Cat is EJ’s assistant and spending so much time with him. Despite Cat’s secret investigation of EJ, her attraction to him will become a bigger factor as time goes on.

Days spoilers say EJ and Cat will have a second chance to build on the strange link they made all those years ago.

5) Shawn and Jada

Finally, a tragic ordeal will pave the way for Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) to embrace a second-chance romance.

DOOL fans will recall Shawn and Jada’s previous spark that faded to the background far too quickly.

Now Days will deliver another opportunity for Jada and Shawn to sizzle as well as build a potential future together.
