Days of our Lives: Owen’s Got Secret Partner Helping Stalk Stephanie – Terrifying Conspiracy Exposed?

Days of Our Lives reveals Owen Kent (Wes Ramsey) is the stalker lurking around who is obsessed with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein). Owen Kent seems to be the guy who tried to poison Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and who was going to try and get into Stephanie Johnson’s room on the book tour in Chicago.

But does Owen Kent have someone working with him to help kidnap the pretty writer and make Stephanie Johnson his own?  We’re going to talk about her upcoming kidnapping and whether somebody else has a hand in Owen Kent’s plan.

Wes Ramsey Returns as Owen Kent: A Blast from Stephanie’s Past

We know from the big Days promo that the main culprit in Stephanie Johnson’s stalking is a blast from her past, awful Owen Kent. But there may be more to it, and the stalking plot may get more convoluted before things clear up. Late last fall, we found out actor Wes Ramsey would be reprising his role way back from the year 2000 when he terrorized his crush, Stephanie.

Days spoilers have been pretty quiet about who else is behind the scenes trying to get to Stephanie, but it looks like there may be more than one person in play. The big long promo for winter cleared up a few things.

Days of our Lives: Owen Lurking and Plotting

Owen has been lurking in the dark corners of Salem, waiting for the right moment to strike. Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) is going to be really surprised when he thinks he is confronting Jeremy Horton (Trevor Donovan), only to see Owen there instead.

It looks like Stephanie’s stalker is out and about in Salem on New Year’s and really close to her. Owen is in a dark hoodie, lurking in Salem Town Square, while Jeremy is ringing in the new year playing Scrabble with Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) at home, totally innocent.

Is Jeremy Horton a Reformed Man or a Silent Partner on DOOL?

Jeremy remains a top suspect in the minds of Stephanie, Alex, and Steve regarding the creepy fan mail. But what I wonder is if Owen Kent is getting help or advice from another disgruntled Salemite or another enemy from the past who either has a thing for Stephanie or a grudge against Alex or the Kiriakises. We’ve seen the stalker on a web forum devoted to Anastasia Sands, and somebody else seems to be offering the stalker advice.

The first person to consider as Owen’s silent partner is, unfortunately, Jeremy Horton. He and Stephanie had a really toxic and abusive relationship, but he swears he’s a changed man. When Jeremy came back to Salem, he stopped by Stephanie’s to let her know he was back, that he had been working on himself, and that he wasn’t the same monster he was.

Days of our Lives: Jeremy Extends an Olive Branch

He brought her flowers and tried to bury the hatchet, but Stephanie freaked out and cried to Alex about it. Alex has been on Jeremy’s case since then. Realistically, Jeremy has shown no signs of criminal activity, obsession, or any kind of particular interest in Stephanie since he’s been back in Salem. As he told Julie, he is a changed person. Jeremy loves teaching kids and trying to make a fresh start in Salem, but a lot of people hold his past against him.

The Anastasia Sands Reveal and Convoluted Accusations

Jeremy has also been blamed for outing Stephanie as the kinky writer Anastasia Sands, even though we know EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) spilled that tea to Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) to try and get him away from the secret clinic. Jeremy was also accused of dating Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) to get close to Stephanie Johnson.

Alex and Jada were even suggesting that somehow Jeremy hacked the Salem Singles app to set up a date with Stephanie’s best friend. It was just a very convoluted accusation—kind of insane if you think about it. Then Jeremy took heat when Thomas DiMera (Christopher Cary) and Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) hijacked the pumpkin catapult and took aim at Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) which wound up with Alex getting knocked down.

Somebody was wearing the same outfit as Jeremy and tried to stab Alex, but it wasn’t Jeremy himself. Unfortunately, nobody believes Jeremy’s denials—nobody except Julie. She has vowed to help Jeremy figure out who is writing those stalkery fan letters so that they can exonerate him.

Joy Wesley’s Secret Motives and the Kiriakis Grudge on DOOL

Another option as Owen’s secret partner is Joy Wesley. She could be working with Owen Kent or just advising him on the forum on how to get Stephanie out of the way. Joy left Salem last spring, and she was pregnant with Alex Kiriakis’ baby. So, Joy lied to Alex and Stephanie both and said she was not pregnant.

Joy doesn’t really have anything against Stephanie in particular. Except for the fact that she is with Alex. Joy might just see Stephanie as an obstacle to getting with her baby daddy, Alex, after all this time, and she might have even had the baby.

Joy could have met Owen online in the Anastasia Sands fan forum after Stephanie’s ID came out, and Joy might be advising him. She wouldn’t want him to kill Alex. If you remember, the person advising them said, “Don’t kill Alex because that’s going to cause you more problems.” Joy could definitely want to see Alex and Stephanie split up.

Vivian Alamain and the DiMera Connection to Owen Kent on Days of Our Lives

Another possible accomplice of Owen could be Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel). She’s the ultimate schemer with a history of kidnappings and grudge-holding. She especially likes to hold grudges against the Kiriakis family, which by extension would include Stephanie with her ties to Alex.

Vivian might be manipulating Owen and offering him funding, or maybe a place to hide out, in exchange for stirring the pot with her enemies. If Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) is really dead, like Vivian said, she might be more unhinged than usual and looking to lash out at anybody in Salem.

On the other hand, a lingering DiMera loyalist, such as a returning henchman—maybe a recast Bart Bechtold or a fake dead DiMera relative—could be guilty of assisting Owen with his plan to kidnap Stephanie again. Don’t forget, Owen Kent is a DiMera associate.

While Bart is dead, he was also very close to Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton). The DiMera mad scientist could have Bart on ice somewhere since Andre DiMera’s (Thaao Penghlis) swords sliced him to death years ago.

EJ DiMera’s Role in the History of Stephanie’s Kidnapping on Days

It was EJ who originally hired Owen to kidnap Stephanie. When Owen was arrested and was being hauled off to prison, the transport vehicle crashed and Owen escaped. We’ve not seen Wes Ramsey on Days of Our Lives since then; that’s been about 25 years. The hijacking of the van felt like a DiMera cleanup job.

In fact, somebody who’s a DiMera or DiMera-adjacent might have brought Owen back around just to mess with Stephanie as part of the ongoing Salem power struggles and vendettas. EJ DiMera might have found Owen in hiding and then lured him out to grab Stephanie again to punish Alex and the other Kiriakises for stealing away DiMera Enterprises for a while.

Last, but by no means least, Owen could be working with somebody that we don’t know, such as a corrupt prison contact or another escaped convict from his past. It could be more of an active partner in crime who’s helping with logistics, supplying chloroform, or providing a safe house to take Stephanie to once he kidnaps her.

Maybe Owen contacts somebody from his past and that’s who is helping online. Maybe that’s how they talk. We’ll see. Stephanie’s going to marry her man, Alex, in 2026, and that’s great, but we have to wonder if Owen is going to come get her before she says, “I do” with her honey boo. Watch and see.
