Days of Our Lives Monday Recap: Does EJ Have Stefano In the Secret Lab?
Rachel Catches Brady and Sarah in a Clinch While Tony and Kristen Try to Make Sense Of Their Predicament
Today on Days of Our Lives, Rachel learns her mother is missing and catches her father with Sarah, Kristen and Tony compare notes, Belle has one person to blame for Marlena’s situation, and EJ anticipates a family reunion.

Gabi comes home to Javi making birria tacos and learns Leo is working on a story about Tony’s disappearance. A suspicious Javi points out that Gabi has a strong motive for wanting Tony out of the way, which she takes great offense to. He tears up, apologizing for briefly doubting her. After losing Tesoro, he can’t bear the thought of losing anyone else. Gabi consoles him over Little T and notes they both brought out the best in Leo. Even if Leo tried to pin EJ’s shooting on her before Kristen confessed. Javi admits Leo doesn’t believe Kristen actually did it.

Rachel’s Imagination Runs Wild
Still in their gala attire, Brady sits with Rachel at the Pub, but she’s too worried about her grandma to eat her fries. EJ enters to relay that it appears Kristen escaped, although the prison is still trying to confirm her disappearance as such. The warden believes she may try to contact Rachel, but the little girl hasn’t heard from her mother.
Rachel gets worked up over the manhunt she imagines, like the ones in movies with dogs and guns, that will ensue. As EJ leaves, he hears Rachel tell Brady she believes her Uncle EJ is a spy for the warden. Brady doesn’t believe that, but assures her that Kristen always has a plan, and it always includes finding her way back to her.

Was Sarah Right the First Time?
At the hospital, Sarah checks in on Marlena, who admits she’s worried because she’s still in AFib. Sarah notices a rash on Marlena’s arm, which is indicative of Lyme carditis, even though Marlena already tested negative for Lyme disease.
As Belle and Eric wait in the hospital lobby, she judges Sami’s engagement to a mob prince, but he’s a little more accepting. Sarah comes out to tell them Marlena has carditis. She’ll run the Lyme disease test again, but it could take a while since, thanks to EJ’s budget cuts, they are short-staffed. She confirms the shortage could have affected Marlena’s original test for Lyme disease, preventing her from getting the proper treatment. As he saunters up, Belle lashes out at a glib EJ, threatening to hold him and the hospital criminally negligent. Belle leaves to check in on Marlena, leaving Sarah and Eric to verbally spar with EJ.

After getting word from Eric, Roman joins his son and Belle in Marlena’s room, and Brady brings Rachel to the lobby. Sarah assures Rachel that they’re taking great care of her grandmother. After Brady gives Rachel money for the vending machine, he privately tells Sarah that Kristen may have escaped. Sarah embraces him, which a returning Rachel witnesses.
A DiMera Family Reunion?
In the crypt, Tony frees Kristen from her restraints, and the siblings embrace. Kristen recounts that someone jumped her from behind in the prison yard and blindfolded her. As for Tony, he was accosted on his way back to the cruise ship in Greece. Kristen wonders if EJ is behind their kidnappings, while Tony considers Gabi.

Kristen points out the irony of Stefano not being among the dead DiMeras in the crypt right now. Tony points out that the empty sarcophagus is gone, assuming whoever put them in there must have taken their father out. She still feels his presence, though, and wonders if the other missing DiMeras — Stefan, Dimitri, and Megan — are being held somewhere equally grim. Fed up, Kristen declares she will find a way out of there, even if she has to dig her way out.
In the lab, EJ places a hand on the cryogenic chamber. “Our family reunion is long overdue,” he says. “Wouldn’t you say?”
