But Cat needs a favor. She needs one of EJ’s binders for work — and it’s probably in the lab. Mark’s unsure, but after some convincing, agrees to take her down to the lab to look around.

Is Javi Leaving for Good?

As Gabi joins him in the kitchen, Javi gets a call that his dad needs quadruple bypass surgery — tomorrow! Gabi jumps into action, gets him a flight out, and looks a bit worried when Javi says to keep it one way. Who knows how long rehab can take? Or if he wants to come back.

Gabi tries convincing Javi he has a life here, but he’s not so sure. The tears are flowing as Gabi gets the plane ticket for him that night. Javi just has one more person to say goodbye to.

Did Johnny Say Too Much?

Johnny runs into Rafe at the nurse’s station and makes an offhand crack about everyone under the sun investigating his dad. Rafe’s reaction makes him realize the FBI is, too. That’s when he lets slip that Gwen and EJ were whispering about a delivery, much to Rafe’s surprise.

After some coaxing, Johnny tells Rafe about Leo’s discovery and agrees to send a copy of the video over. But… he doesn’t want to be the reason EJ’s taken away from him. He already almost lost him.

Can Chanel and Johnny Work Things Out?

Chanel and Paulina both visit Theo with some coffee, and, after some morning sickness, Chanel tells Theo about her pregnancy. “We’re having another baby!” Hopefully.

Johnny visits next and Chanel makes a quick exit. He’s a bit taken aback to learn she already told Theo about the pregnancy, and Theo clocks the tension right away. Johnny doesn’t want to talk about it, so they chat a bit about DiMera CEO and the gift Gabi brought Theo.

Chanel and Johnny leave the hospital at the same time, and talk things out a bit. Johnny wants them to be there for each other while they wait for the test results, and he does want the baby, but he wants her to be healthy.

They work through things enough to start up sexy time back home — until Javi knocks on the door with the news he’s leaving. Trey’s out with the sitter, but they insist he won’t leave without seeing his godson. In fact, they’ll do the christening today!

Will Gwen Get Rid of Dimitri Again?

Leo, hungover, shows up on Gwen’s doorstep, more determined than ever to get to the bottom of EJ and Gwen’s plan. He knows she’s in it up to here. And she messed up in bringing Dimitri back. He’s betting that EJ doesn’t know about this latest twist, and guesses the only reason he brought her in was her money.

Leo can keep EJ off her back by quashing his delivery story and laying off telling everyone she’s responsible for Dimitri. All he wants in return is for her to make Dimitri disappear again. They lob a few insults and tell each other that they hate each other… but still have annoying soft spots for each other.

In the Show’s Final Moments

Alone, Theo falls asleep, clutching his gift from Gabi… and starts dreaming steamy dreams about her. He wakes with a start to find Paulina sitting next to him. Awkward. Then Abe shows up with some Sweet Bits. Theo’s happy his DiMera family came together, and his Carver family is growing.

Rafe gets home as Gabi’s on the phone with the airline and finds out about Javi. Mark, meanwhile, brings Cat down to the lab where she records him putting the code in. But she only gets the first three digits before he gets summoned away. She calls Rafe to check in and they go over Johnny’s latest revelation.

Their near-emotional moment passed, Gwen calls Leo out for not making a decision. She didn’t make Dimitri disappear the first time, so she can’t help him the second time. Bugger off. Leo parts with one last sting: In trying to ruin his life, she ruined her own, too.
