Days of Our Lives and Fear Factor fans alike will never forget the time one of the soap’s biggest stars tested her inner fears and given the upcoming reboot of the stunt/dare game show, Alison Sweeney (Sami) recently recalled the “traumatizing experience” during one of its celebrity spinoffs.

“In honor of the new Fear Factor I had to post my own traumatizing experience,” Sweeney stated while sharing a photo on her official Instagram. “Also the most fun. So glad to be a part of this shows history. Joe Rogan [then host] actually ate that freakin cockroach! Thank you Matt Kunitz [then executive producer]!”

It all went down during the Celebrity Fear Factor 2 March 11, 2002 episode and not only did Sweeney lie down in the coffee of fear, as pictured above, she had been dared to eat an earthworm. And since it was for charity, the soap fave completed the task but not before getting a pep talk from Rogan, who agreed to eat a cockroach if she downed some worms. “I can’t believe I am doing this,” Sweeney had said. “This is so wrong.”
