As General Hospital’s Ronnie Exits Stage Left, Erika Slezak Sends a Heartfelt Message

Fans of the legendary One Life to Live actress Erika Slezak have been treated to a major daytime comeback since she returned to the screen on September 26. However, all good things often come to an end and that is the case for her General Hospital run as Ronnie.

A post on the Daytime Emmy winner’s official website announced that Slezak had wrapped up taping at the ABC soap. There was also a special message shared from the actress herself in regard to all the emails she’d received from her adoring fans…

“Thank you so much for all your emails. I am delighted that you’ve been enjoying my work on General Hospital,” Slezak stated then went on to express, “I am very grateful for the kind words you have shared with me.” As for what it felt like to get back into the daytime game, she continued, “It was wonderful to work again in a medium I love. My experience on GH was fantastic and I hope you continue to enjoy the show.” She also touched base on the “incredible group of actors and writers” that she had been “honored” to work with and sent her “sincere thanks for watching.”

Speaking of watching, those who tuned in to Monday’s November 3 episode got a front row seat to the fallout after Tracy located Monica’s real will before Ronnie had signed over the Quartermaine mansion to Drew. And after Tracy confronted Ronnie, she was forced to admit that the will that had left her everything had been forged by Martin. We’re sure to see more emotions explode today what with Tracy finding out the house had in fact been left to her.

As Slezak concludes the role this week, we can only hope to one day see her return to daytime again.
