We’d issue a spoiler alert at the top of this article, but if you’ve been paying any attention at all, you already know that Chad Duell’s exit reportedly will be facilitated by a blowup at dad Sonny’s penthouse on Tuesday, Jan. 7. (Here’s why the Emmy winner is exiting.)
If that morsel of intel is correct — and spoilers for the week ahead suggest that it is — you can well predict what will happen next. Sonny and Carly will be drawn together anew to mourn the loss of “their” son. (Sorry, A.J.) In fact, the Thursday, Jan. 9, teaser says that the exes wind up in one another’s orbit “in the wake of tragedy.”

Curiously, a day later, just as Carly is issuing a stern warning, Sonny comes up with a way to get what he wants… that Nina also wants. Maybe the former marrieds team up to ensure that, as Willow reels from estranged husband Michael’s sudden death, she doesn’t turn to sleazy congressman Drew?
Any way you slice it, though, the stage is set for some juicy drama, because if Sonny and Carly are back on the same page — but he’s also reading from Nina’s book — mourning be damned, fireworks are sure to ensue. (And it did rather seem like “Sona” ended rather abruptly, didn’t it?)
