Bold & Beautiful Set to Introduce a ‘New Thomas’?
Bold & Beautiful has made it abundantly clear that R.J. has it bad for Electra. The question is, is he so smitten that love could curdle into obsession? Fans are already fearing the worst, that Ridge and Brooke’s son will snap the way Thomas once did over Hope. “Why do I think I’m seeing Thomas’ face every time R.J. speaks?” tweeted Cayt.
Is R.J. the New Thomas?
Certainly, this week R.J. has given off a vibe reminiscent of the one that Thomas did as he convinced himself that he and Hope were endgame, back when she wanted nothing to do with him. R.J. shoots down any talk of Will and Electra getting back together. He’s painted Will as public enemy No. 1. And above all, he’s sung Electra’s praises at every turn.

The resemblance wasn’t lost on SoapLogic, who asked on Twitter, “Is R.J. going to be creepy like Thomas? It must been the Marone bloodline to be creepy and obsessive. Steffy also had her own spell of it.”
Whether R.J. is genetically inclined toward unhealthy fixations, ToyaBJuicy hopes that the character won’t be taken down that path. “OMG!” she tweeted. “Bold & Beautiful, please don’t make R.J. obsessed and creepy like y’all did with Thomas!”

Is Obsession a One-Way Ticket to Nowheresville?
Even if R.J. goes over the top in his pursuit of Electra — like by making certain threatening calls to Miss Dylan — it doesn’t mean that his return to L.A. will be a short one. Remember, it took a while for Thomas to live down his misdeeds, but eventually, all was forgiven and forgotten — to the point that Hope fell hard for him.
Look at Sheila, too. She’s shot nearly every other character (who’s ever been) on the show, yet she was somehow rebranded as a mild-mannered pizza waitress… who only occasionally threatens Taylor with a pizza cutter and a murderous gleam in her eye.
