Bold & Beautiful’s Ashleigh Brewer Has the Only ‘Proper’ Response to Her Infamous Catchphrase — Plus, at Last a Love Interest for Ivy?
Once The Bold and the Beautiful started having Ivy run around declaring things “not proper,” it seemed like she was doing it twice an episode. Minimum! But Ashleigh Brewer is delighting in the hoopla surrounding the oft-repeated line. As you’ll see in the behind-the-scenes video below, when she’s asked what’s her favorite Ivy catchphrase, she laughs and replies, “Obviously, it’s ‘not proper.’”
Her followers seem to get a kick out of Ivy’s turn for the prim as well. “I have never seen anyone,” follower the_val_xoxo chuckled, who loves the word ‘proper’ more than Ivy.”
Another fan, missy197801, said that she tends to “crack up every time Ivy says ‘That’s not proper.’ I say that at bowling night when I can’t knock down the annoying 10 pin.”
All kidding aside, several viewers noted that it was high time that Ivy got her nose out of Electra’s business and got a love life of her own. Though portrayer Ashleigh Brewer will soon be off on maternity leave — she and husband Mark Bauch are expecting their first child — when the Aussie-born actress returns, perhaps Ivy will find an old flame waiting to warm up her nights.
