At Crimson Lights, Cane leaves Victor a voicemail complaining that ranch security turned him away. Billy appears and guesses the Newman is stonewalling him about Lily and the kids. Cane blurts, “What does he want from me, Billy? Why won’t he let my family go?”

Billy tells Cane that Victor told him Lily and the kids are safe, adding that Ashby deserves to be in this situation, but his family doesn’t. They argue back and forth about which of them is more of a screw-up. Cane vows he’ll never stop trying with Lily. Billy wishes him luck.

Next, they argue heatedly about Chancellor. Billy tells Ashby to go back to France… he brought chaos with him. They bicker some more, insisting they’ve changed, before talk turns to Sally’s suggestion that Billy go to London to make amends with Jill. Cane wonders if he’ll listen. Billy announces he’s done with going after Victor. Cane vows to make amends, whatever it takes. Neither of them envy what’s coming Phyllis’ way.

Needled About Noah

At Society, Holden approaches Audra, who has just concluded a business meeting. “This new life suits you,” he muses, before launching into a push for her to seduce Kyle away from Claire. Audra insists she’s not interested; she doesn’t want to risk her career by getting involved with an Abbott. Noah walks in and Holden accuses her of not wanting an Abbott because she’d rather score a Newman.

Audra tells Holden there’s a painful and complicated history between her and Noah. He needs to stop the needling. Noah interrupts and introduces himself to Holden. He knows he’s been a good friend to his cousin, Claire.

Holden takes off to meet Cane, and Noah asks Audra to keep him company while he awaits his order. He asks Audra how well she knew Sienna… and how well did she know her ex, Mitch?

Nikki Unleashed

At the Club, Claire asks Nikki what happened with Victor. Nikki tells her that Phyllis signed Chancellor back to him, but what he did to get it was reprehensible. Claire wants the deets, so Nikki gives her the low down on Jack’s kidnapping, adding that Victor has absolutely no remorse.

Claire’s stunned to hear that her grandfather threw her grandmother out of the house. Nikki warns she won’t be living with Victor again anytime soon. Claire realizes he’s not going to stop until he gets the rest back. She wants Nikki to try to get through to him, but she’s too upset to be a voice of reason.

Talk turns to Victoria and Summer. Claire hopes her mother can convince her to come home. Harrison would like that. Nikki wonders if she and Kyle will reunite. Claire, echoing fan sentiment, observes that she did terrible things and then swung too far the other way; she was practically singing in the forest like a fairytale princess. She has no idea what she wants, but she’s still keen to do something wild and unexpected. On cue, Holden walks in.

The Final Scenes

At Society, Audra tells Noah she didn’t know Sienna and Mitch that well but he’s not buying it.He grills her about Mitch. Audra heard from Sally that he’s a psycho. Noah nods. He’s the reason he ended up in the hospital… and he’s still out a danger to him.

Audra suggests that Noah leave town, but he assures her that his dad is tracking down Mitch, who is actually Matt Clark. Talk turns to Sienna, and Noah admits he’s in love with her. He tells Audra she deserves something special too. She says she had that, but it ended. “It was you, Noah.”

At Crimson Lights, Billy thinks about Sally urging him to visit Jill, and then pulls out his phone and leaves his girlfriend a message to meet. “I’ve made a decision.”

Holden greets Claire and Nikki at the Club, and then abruptly backs off, which leaves Claire discombobulated.

New: Y&R bails on its sweetest couple

The next instant, Cane walks in and confronts Nikki about Victor still holding Lily and the twins. “If you know something, please tell me.” Standing, Nikki announces that he may not like it, but she’ll tell him. Claire cautions, “Grandma…” Undeterred, Nikki informs Cane that Lily and the twins were never in danger and weren’t taken against their will. Lily was in on it with Victor.
