Well, it’s been a long, torturous process, but Stephanie’s loved ones on Days of Our Lives are finally realizing that Jeremy may not be the kidnapper after all. And even better, they’ve hit upon who the real stalker is: Owen Kent!
That’s, in large part, thanks to Brady. He was the first one to suggest that Jeremy might be innocent, even when everyone else doubted him. And on Wednesday’s episode, he was the one to recall Owen and realize how horrifyingly perfect a suspect he was.
So while the FBI, ISA, the Salem PD and even Steve himself, the professional private eye were left scrambling, Brady figured it all out. (Except for where Owen took Stephanie, but give it time.)

Now we’re not saying that Steve wouldn’t have arrived at this on his own, or that he’s bad at his job. But he does work best when he’s got a partner to bounce ideas off of, and since John’s death, he’s been flying solo. (Hope and Bo’s international aid aside, that is.)
Soaps spoke with Stephen Nichols about the prospect of a new partner and he acknowledged that, “At some point, if he’s going to keep going, he is going to look for a new partner.”
Well, if Brady’s help leads to Stephanie’s safe return, we’ve got a feeling we know exactly who he’ll be eying to help him out! Xander fired his nephew from Basic Black and so far, Brady hasn’t been all that upset. He’s sad to leave his father’s legacy behind, yes, but he’d barely been keeping a foot in the door at that point. And there is his father’s other legacy waiting for him.
When Soaps spoked with Eric Martsolf, he teased the career change a bit, saying, “I think it’d be fun to watch him go into his dad’s footsteps a little bit. Maybe venture out into the private investigatory realm.”

Of course, “Who knows if he’s going that way or not,” Martsolf hedged with a smile. “Some arrows point that way. Some are skeptical, but I think that’d be a beautiful legacy for who him to uphold.”
We agree! And right now, it’s looking like most arrows are pointing that way. And that’s especially true after Stephen Nichols shared! We asked who he’d like to see Steve team up with and he just shared, “There is one person who could put the ‘Black’ back in Black Patch… And maybe… He’s a good guy!”
Brady is a good guy! And after all of this is said and done, we feel better than ever that he’s the perfect candidate to take over for John, honor his legacy and give Steve a leg up.
