We pick up from Friday, with Stephanie about to make a run from Jeremy when Owen Kent enters the room. He pulls out a gun, demands Jeremy’s phone and makes it clear he will hurt Stephanie if he has to. Owen handcuffs them both and Stephanie finally realizes who the stalker was and Jeremy’s reaction is kind of perfect. “It wasn’t. Me,” he practically growls.

For her part, Stephanie does apologize right away. (But will it end there?) Owen gags Jeremy and tells Stephanie that he loves her, but she’s been unfaithful. Then it’s gag time for Stephanie again, so he can leave. Cue the screaming from both!

Owen Was Hired to Help

Dr. Rolf has a little chat with the green tube: “I hope you’re ready, my dear. Begin your journey back to us.” (We knew it!) Then Owen joins him (wait, what?), and Rolf wonders what that muffled scream he thought he heard was. It looks like Owen was hired to keep an eye on the room over nights, and Rolf leaves him to it.

Owen gets back to tease his captives and tell them that this room is mostly soundproofed “from the rest of the hospital.” He’s back in town for his job (with Rolf) and wasn’t planning on striking this soon, but had to stop Stephanie from marrying Alex (too late). When the job’s done, he’ll run off with Steph… and probably kill Jeremy.

Stephanie Realizes Where They Are

Once Owen’s gone again, Stephanie gets back to apologizing and wondering how Jeremy found her. Thomas found Stephanie’s phone in the school hall and handed it to him. (Owen dumped it to frame him.)

Jeremy escaped the cops, happened to see a shady looking guy and assumed he was behind it all. Er, that’s a leap. To be fair, he bumped into Owen at the school earlier pretending to be a custodian, which was super shady. So Jeremy decided to follow the stalker and found Stephanie SO much easier than any of the professionals.

When he lays out the lab, the secret panel and all, Stephanie realizes where they are — behind the free clinic! And whomever Owen is working for could be nearby and less than happy to have captives in their workplace.

Maggie Visits Julie

It’s 12:01 and Julie can’t sleep — it’s also her birthday! Maggie gives her a call to tell her a cardinal was tapping on her window. She remembered it was Julie’s birthday, so she called to offer some company! At midnight. OK, Maggie.

When she gets there, Julie thanks her for not rubbing into her face how right she was about Jeremy being evil. That’s kind of harsh, especially in a town with real evil, but OK. Julie’s just overcome with emotion, though, and tries calling Jeremy again to tell him it’s not too late. He can still be good! But naturally, the phone just rings in Owen’s hand.

Philip Tells Gabi About Owen

Philip’s reading up on Stephanie while Gabi sleeps next to him. (Doesn’t he know that screens in bed mess up sleep?) She wakes and reassures him that worrying about Stephanie is OK — so that’s when he tells Gabi how Stephanie was kidnapped for being with him before. By Owen, no less!

Philip figures Owen probably disappeared for good — and why has no one else ever thought of the guy who escaped and was obsessed with Stephanie being the kidnapper?!?! Gabi assures him again that worrying about his ex is fine and they start getting frisky. Sorrynotsorry, Stephanie.

In the Show’s Final Moments

Maggie heads back home and Julie tells Doug that he knows he’s the one who woke Maggie with the red bird — his favorite color.

Stephanie thanks Jeremy some more and apologizes again — she never could have dreamed Owen would be back! — and Jeremy pulls the whole, “Oh, it’s OK. The past is past,” thing. Uh huh. He promises to protect Stephanie from Owen no matter what. Owen, meanwhile, chats with the lady in the tube, saying from what he heard she knows what it was like to be a part of a “great romance.” Once she’s out, he’s smuggling Stephanie out in the tube…
