General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of January 19-23 note that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will get shockingly slapped after his wife, Willow Tait Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) Not Guilty verdict.
During the General Hospital weekly preview, a clip is shown of Drew, looking stunned, as he clutches his face with one hand, while the other is holding him up.
It looks like he’s trying not to fall near his coffee table – so, has someone slapped him (possibly punched) – but who would do such a thing?
There’s a bottle of champagne on the coffee table in the promo, and as Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will arrive on hand prior to this (with said champagne) to celebrate Willow’s courtroom victory, there’s a good chance things get heated between these two rivals, and Nina puts Drew in his place.
After all, General Hospital spoilers hint that Drew will issue a threat to Nina early on in the week, so she won’t take a warning like this from him, lying down.
Then again, there’s always a small chance that Willow is the one laying hands on her husband. After all, in the promo scene, Drew looks utterly caught off guard.
There’s no way he’d be that stunned if Nina slapped him, as he’d probably be expecting it and offer up a smug grin after the fact.
Still, he would not expect a move like this from Willow. With that said, Willow has slowly but surely transformed into a diabolical and manipulative character.
Now that she’s gotten her Not Guilty verdict, she’s free and clear to expose herself to the man that she has zero love for.
GH fans know that even though she is the shooter, there’s no way she can get tried for the same crime twice, thanks to the double-jeopardy legal ruling.
Imagine Drew’s surprise if and when Willow reveals what she’s done and gloats about his gullibility.
Could GH viewers see yet another plot twist in this storyline where Willow conceitedly exposes herself to Drew, only to slap him in the face in the aftermath to add insult to injury?
Then again, perhaps Willow walks in on Drew giving her dear mother a warning and decides to step in and put her foot down.
General Hospital spoilers imply that there are a lot of people who can’t stand Drew, so maybe someone like Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) crashes Willow’s post-verdict party and lays the smackdown on Drew – only time will tell!
