Holly finds Ari getting rid of the wedding gifts at the Hernandez home, per Gabi’s instructions. And her own happiness about Leo being gone. But Holly loses interest in the topic fast enough, since she’s rushing a sorority and wants Ari to join her.
Holly made the decision that they’re doing this together. Ari would rather focus on her internship. That and getting Holly a fake ID so they can drink without a sorority! You’ve got some real mixed messages here, Ari. Holly doesn’t want one, though, and she’s got plans with Tate, anyway — which annoys Ari. She goes to Small Bar to try finding a hottie.
Can Chad Help Leo?
Leo’s got an entire (mostly empty) bottle of tequila to himself at the Pub. He’s three sheets to the wind by the time Chad shows up, taking over for Xander. Except he wants to get water in Leo. Spoilsport.

More: Javi has only himself to blame
Leo bemoans his current state — Dimitri’s confusing return, not being drunk — so Chad offers to talk through things together. After some rambling about polyamory and Marlena being in love with two people, Chad takes Leo’s tequila and tells him to go home.
Before going, Leo asks about the custody mediation, not getting how custody between Salem and Boston works. Same. Chad takes him home instead of answering, and Leo tells him he’s his best friend.
Sophia May Have Pushed Too Far
Dinner done, Rachel and Sophia get back to the room, where the kid’s feeling bad about stealing from Brady. Sophia gives some spiel about overcoming adversity, yada, yada, manipulation, and they go over the plan.

Then, Sophia slips her dark hoodie on, flips the hood up, and very conspicuously heads out. Rachel takes her spot in Sophia’s bed, but this time the nurse notices something’s off.
Tate Doesn’t Want Brady’s Life
Brady’s happy to see Leo studying at home, with an absolutely gorgeous leather-bound, gold-trimmed copy of Moby Dick. (Sorry-not-sorry for being a bibliophile.) But he’s less happy to share the news of his firing.
But he’s ready for a career change, and still wants Basic Black to be there as a legacy for Tate and Rachel. In fact… since Tate’s a business major, maybe he could run it at some point! (The kid’s failing college, Brady, let’s not put the cart ahead of the horse. Also, Tate’s leaving…)

More: A trio of Salem recasts is coming
Actually, Tate’s not interested, and Brady understands, though he’s got no idea who else would do it. (Maybe an experienced adult?) They make plans for some pizza, which is when Brady discovers his wallet is empty. He thinks back to Rachel rushing her parents out of the room, then gets a call from Bayview and hurries off.
Kristen Finally Gets Home
Gwen happily welcomes Kristen home and offers her sympathies over the crypt and Peter, but Kristen wants to move on. Including from the house. Gwen’s disappointed not to have one of her few friends around, but Kristen wants to be far away from EJ.

More: Peter is officially out… For now!
She’ll stick around while EJ’s out of town, but Gwen’s crack about Statesville doesn’t sit well, and Kristen just wants to get to bed. But first… Gwen warns her about Dimitri staying there. “Dimitri? Really??” Gwen launches into her “Dimitri’s lying about Alamainia kidnapping” shtick, and how he’s trying to get her money back. Kristen knows Gwen won’t allow that.
In the Show’s Final Moments
Holly shows up at Tate’s — turns out she just used him as an excuse not to go out with Ari. He’s ready for a break, so they go for some midnight bowling. Out in the square, Ari spots Sophia, dressed like Stephanie’s stalker. But the teen just keeps walking.
More: The All My Children reboot is still alive
Brady demands answers from Rachel in Bayview after talking to Dr. Gregory. Where’s Sophia? Rachel doesn’t know, but she lets slip that Sophia can talk. Oops. He knows she stole money, he knows she gave it to Sophia, and he wants to know where she is. Right behind him, it turns out, still in her hoodie!
