General Hospital: Alexis Wins Case – Loses Scout Anyway in Heartbreaking Twist?!

General Hospital suggests things are looking good for Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). And she could very well win Willow Tait‘s (Katelyn MacMullen) case, even though the woman is guilty as sin.

We know Alexis is desperate to keep seeing Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante), but Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) might do her dirty before all is said and done, even if she gets the verdict he wants.

General Hospital: Kai and Trina Reveal Evidence in Willow’s Case

This week, we saw Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) go to Alexis and tell her they’re convinced Willow shot Drew They laid it all out for Alexis. Trina and Kai admitted they were at Drew’s looking for the evidence he was using to blackmail Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Despite the fact that Kai has a key, being there with ill intent without permission makes it trespassing.

They said they heard Willow’s ringtone for Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Viron Weaver), but Alexis told them that ringtone doesn’t prove anything. She told Kai and Trina she’s not going to do anything with the info they gave her. Alexis, bottom line, is obligated to defend her client. She can’t ruin the case; she literally can’t do what they’re asking her to do. That would be malpractice.

Kai and Trina were outraged, of course, because they don’t understand. But Alexis told them that if they go to the police, they could wind up in jail themselves. Kai and Trina were there at the time of the shooting, they illegally accessed Drew’s safe. And they withheld the fact that they were there from the police for all this time.

Alexis Davis Faces a Legal Ethics Dilemma on GH

After the two of them left unhappy, Alexis did go back and check Willow’s phone records. She called the number she saw there and, sure enough, it was Wiley’s phone. So yeah, Alexis knows that Willow did get the call right at the time Drew was shot. It’s not a smoking gun, but it’s a lot more evidence than the prosecution dug up. They should have done a little more research than they did. Alexis realized Kai and Trina are right. And Willow is guilty. She shot Drew. This week, we’re going to see Alexis go to her law partner, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy), and tell her, “Yeah, so Willow is guilty. She did shoot Drew.”

Diane is going to tell Alexis that she knows exactly what she needs to do. Let’s be real—if this was Diane defending Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) or Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and she found out they were guilty, which they usually are of the things they’re in court for, Diane would keep this information quiet and do her job. That’s what she does. The fact that a not-guilty verdict could affect Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) isn’t part of the equation. And it shouldn’t be.

Will Drew Honor the Deal for Scout’s Visitation on General Hospital?

Diane and Alexis both know that a good defense lawyer would sit on this info. If Willow is found guilty after Alexis fails to use the proper defense, Willow could turn around and sue her for malpractice and might be able to get her conviction overturned.

Plus, Alexis knows a not-guilty verdict gets her and everybody else access to Scout, except for Danny Morgan (Asher Jared Antonyzyn). I think short-term Alexis is going to get the not-guilty verdict and will get to see Scout for a while. But even if Alexis wins Willow’s case as I expect, I just don’t trust Drew to stick to the deal he made.

There’s an official General Hospital spoiler that says Alexis and Scout both end up losing whether Alexis wins Willow’s case or not. Based on this, I do suspect Alexis gets that not-guilty verdict for Willow because that’s the soapiest outcome. If the jury comes back with not guilty, obviously Alexis will breathe a huge sigh of relief and demand instant access to Scout.

Willow Plans to Divorce Drew and Leave the Marriage

As for Willow, she can walk away from Drew. Recently, Willow told Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) that cutting ties with Drew won’t be simple, but she is determined to do it. Nina is right there cheering for her daughter and will do whatever it takes. I do wonder how long it’ll be before Willow turns around and tells Drew she despises him.

Willow says she only married him because she thought it would help her get her kids back and win this criminal case. I’ll be cheering if Willow turns around and serves Drew with a big old pile of divorce papers or, even better, annulment papers to make that marriage disappear.

Kai’s Moral Code and the Truth About the Shooting on GH

Before Willow gets to that point and gets the chance, I think Kai may go and tell Drew what really happened and that Willow shot him. Kai’s got a moral code and he’s quite unsettled that Alexis is still defending Willow knowing she’s guilty. I don’t think he and Trina understand how the American legal system works.

To do all this, Kai has to admit that he was at Drew Cain Quartermaine’s house doing something he shouldn’t have been doing. Kai could lie and say he was there for work reasons and then he hid because he heard the shots and was afraid. He doesn’t even have to mention that Trina was there.

If he tells Drew he was there to get in the safe, obviously Drew will lose his mind and go off on Kai because Drew wanted to keep Portia under his thumb and he’s upset the blackmail is gone. At the same time, Kai doesn’t like or respect Drew anymore, but he doesn’t want him murdered or sleeping next to his would-be killer. Kai might worry that Willow might try again.

Drew Cain Quartermaine’s Potential Revenge Against Alexis Davis and Willow Tait

I definitely think that Kai is going to have a lot to think about. If he comes clean to Drew, he may also tell him, “We took this to Alexis Davis.” I don’t think Drew would hold it against Alexis for not telling the DA, but I do think he may hold it against her for not telling him that his wife shot him.

That might be why he decides to withhold Scout from Alexis despite the deal he made. Let’s be real: Drew is looking for a reason to not let that side of the family see Scout. After getting a big win in court, Alexis could still be in a lose-lose situation.

I think Drew is going to be furious if Alexis doesn’t tell him that Willow’s the shooter. Realistically, Drew still wants Michael to go down for it, so he may still proceed even knowing that his wife shot him. Alexis, of course, is going to try and justify it by saying Willow is her client, not Drew. And it falls under attorney-client privilege.

Scout Caught in the Middle of General Hospital Drama

If Willow decides to just go off on Drew and divorce him like I expect her to soon, he may explode. Drew may lash out at Willow, Alexis, Nina, the Quartermaines, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), Michael, pretty much everybody. Drew might even try to get revenge on Willow. Her betrayal could make Drew snap and finally go completely unhinged, more so than he usually is day-to-day.

In the end, I expect Drew to go back on his word to Alexis. He’s keeping Scout away from her family, which is sad because she’s lonely, stuck with her nanny most of the time. And she really misses Alexis, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), and her brothers a lot.

General Hospital: Willow’s Love for Scout

What’s ironic is the only person who is sensitive to what Scout is going through and is in her life on a daily basis who actually cares about her well-being is murderous Willow. Too bad Scout is probably going to lose Willow as well once she leaves Drew. Once he finds out Willow shot him, I wouldn’t be surprised if Drew keeps Scout away from Willow, too, which would be more trauma and more inconsistency for Drew’s daughter.

Maybe after everything blows over, Alexis can find a way to get access to Scout. If Drew loses it and does something really publicly disgraceful or criminal, maybe Alexis can make a play for custody. It would be the best thing for Scout. What’s crazy is killer Willow is still a better parent to Scout than Drew is. Alexis knows that, too, and she’s still going to go chasing that not-guilty verdict this week.
