In the January 9 episode, Cane made a confession that caught Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) off guard.

There’s a built-in feature in Cane’s AI program that can force it to turn on its host, so he just has to trigger it and watch Newman burn!

It looks like Cane will indeed order the software to wreak havoc on Newman Enterprises, so Victor may regret having that program in his possession soon.

It won’t take long for Cane and Phyllis to start taunting Victor over their victory, so he’ll definitely be furious.

Phyllis and Cane are gearing up for a Newman takeover, but this feud is just getting started.

Cane and Phyllis can’t expect to launch an attack like this and get away with it.

You can bet Victor will vow to get revenge, but he may need some help in that department.

That’s where Jack may come in since he’ll have lingering worries of his own when it comes to what Cane and Phyllis will do next.

Jack and Victor previously tried forming an alliance against Cane, but it quickly fizzled since they weren’t truly committed.

It was more about giving the illusion of an alliance since Victor and Jack obviously have trust issues.

However, things will be different this time around.

Based on the latest spoilers, it sounds like Victor and Jack are genuinely going to become allies – at least temporarily.

It’s sure to be a challenge, but it’ll be worth it if Jack and Victor can get results.

Here’s what Y&R Head Writer and Executive Producer Josh Griffith had to say about the partnership that’s brewing in an interview with TV Insider.

Cane’s power trip will “force Victor and Jack from hating each other to have to work together for the greater good, which will be interesting to see if they can pull that off without killing each other,” Griffith said.
