Days of Our Lives left viewers with one hell of a cliffhanger going into 2026. With the New Year approaching in Salem, Javi and Leo said “I do,” only to have Leo’s ex, Dimitri, crash the wedding.

Yeah, we’re pretty sure Gwen had something to do with this! As teased in the latest preview for the Peacock soap, the New Year brings two people out of their comas, one person gets a pink slip, and Jeremy appears to have been vindicated as he’s not Stephanie’s stalker!

Happy New Year… But Not For You

Jeremy is celebrating ringing in 2026 at home with Julie, which is, in fact, a good thing. Why? Because as Stephanie and Alex are kissing under the fireworks in Horton Square, her black-sweat-suited stalker walks by filming the two of them on his phone. Jeremy is innocent after all!

And as the fireworks explode overhead, poor Javi is in tears, and Leo is alone in his room at the Salem Inn. What happened after Dimitri’s sudden reappearance that the newlyweds aren’t ringing in the New Year in each other’s arms?

Time to Wake Up!

At Salem University Hospital, Kristen is visiting her brother Peter and wiping tears from his eyes. Did they pull the plug? As she goes to walk away, he grabs her arm. It looks like Peter still has some life in him! And in another nearby room, Paulina and Abe are thrilled when Theo opens his eyes!

A Kiss and Then… Unemployment

Finally, Brady and Sarah usher in 2026 with one heck of a kiss. But then, Xander plays the spoilsport and informs Brady, “You’re fired!” Seems like a lawsuit in the making. Perhaps a change of CEO is needed at Titan?
