Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the week of January 5-9 reveal that there’ll be some escape games, a forgiveness plea and some exes that are wreaking havoc.

After Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) derails Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Javi Hernandez’s (Al Calderon) wedding night, he’ll probably have an emotional speech for Leo.

Dimitri may have quite a story to tell and assure Leo he never wanted to end things between them.

The letter Leo received was presumably a phony note meant to throw him off the trail.

Of course, Leo has fallen for Javi, but Days spoilers say that won’t stop Dimitri from trying to win Leo back.

Will this be part of Gwen von Leushner’s (Emily O’Brien) plan to distract Leo from all the shady lab drama or could she be surprised as well?

Gwen told EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) they did a “bang-up job” making Dimitri disappear, but it’s possible she’s allowing him to resurface with the goal of sidetracking Leo.

Regardless, Dimitri’s presence will turn Leo’s life upside down.

Despite Leo’s continued commitment to Javi, Dimitri will kiss Leo at some point and could create some issues.

Leo may not be digging into the truth behind EJ’s project for a while, but Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) may get closer to the truth than ever now that EJ’s headed out of town.

Both Cat and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) may use this as a golden opportunity to search without EJ in the way.

As for Melinda Trask (Tina Huang), DOOL fans know she’ll be taking over Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) custody case while EJ’s in Italy.

Since Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) agreed to try mediation, Melinda will do her part to help them find a solution that Chad can agree on, too.

At Bayview, Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) will move forward with a plan to step up her getaway game.

If Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) gets her way, Days spoilers say she may talk Sophia into taking her along for the escape ride.

Although it doesn’t seem like Sophia’s planning on dealing with her “unfinished business” just yet, it might happen anyway if she crosses paths with Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens), Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) or both.

There’s a chance Sophia will try to take Trey DiMera (Joseph Ihlenf and Jordan Perdue) back at some point – and she could certainly put pregnant Chanel at risk with her next ambush.

As for Peter Blake (Dan Gauthier), Days spoilers say he’ll awaken after Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) has his medical team pull the plug.

Kristen will beg for Peter’s forgiveness since she inadvertently launched this hospital crisis, but Peter will reject her apology and warn her to get out of his room.
