Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for the week of December 29-January 2 reveals that Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) will work with a new partner while a legal deal gets underway for Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). There’ll also be some Peter Blake (Dan Gauthier) life support drama, so let’s talk about what’s coming up in Salem.

For starters, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will confide in Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) and get some support since she just celebrated her first Christmas without John Black (Drake Hogestyn).

As for Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow), she’ll celebrate a delayed holiday with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) and Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) before strategizing with Xander.

Kate and Xander may come together as partners on a sneaky plan to help Titan stay afloat.

Next, Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) will be delighted once Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) is finally back in her arms.

Days spoilers say Tony will share a kiss with Anna as they reunite following all the crypt chaos.

Over with Gwen von Leuschner (Emily O’Brien), she’ll do some scheming and bring EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) in the loop.

EJ will also have a meeting with Tony and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) as they discuss the best way to make sure Peter stays neutralized.

Although EJ will think Peter should come off life support, Kristen is in charge of that decision and will be conflicted about it.

Days spoilers say Peter will ultimately awaken and rage over Kristen turning her back on him, so she’ll be distraught when he yells at her to get out.

Back with Chad, he’ll bump into Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) and send papers flying everywhere.

Cat and Chad will still feel a spark as they lock eyes, but they’ll know they have to shove down whatever they still feel for each other.

Now that Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) has revealed her pregnancy, she’ll be upset when Johnny doesn’t have the same happy reaction.

Johnny looked bewildered when Chanel broke the news and will soon share some worries with her about adding another baby.

Some marriage conflict is on the way for Chanel and Johnny while Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) prepare to get hitched.

Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will kick off the ceremony on New Year’s Eve, but Dimitri von Leuschner’s (Peter Porte) unexpected return will put the attention on him soon enough.

Other Days spoilers say Belle Black (Martha Madison) will work out a deal with Melinda Trask (Tina Huang), so this may involve some legal help for Kristen.

Rachel wants to come clean about shooting EJ and make sure Kristen doesn’t have to go back to prison.

Melinda may help Kristen recant her confession and set the record straight about the fact that she was protecting her daughter.

As for Rachel, she’ll head back to Bayview, but it’ll be tough after getting that day pass for Christmas.

Rachel will be over this whole mental institution thing and will just want to go home, but she needs more treatment.

Days spoilers indicate that both Rachel and Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) will receive some visitors on New Year’s Eve.

That’ll be a nice distraction, but Sophia may suggest a better one if she wants to sneak out again.

Rachel’s been wanting to go along for the ride, so she may convince Sophia to help her make a getaway, too.
