Days of Our Lives Tuesday, October 29 Recap: Mark & Cat’s Jailhouse Blues – Marlena’s Stunning News – Holly Forgives Eric

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, October 29, reveals that Tate Black (Leo Howard) had dinner with Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz) in the town square, where they had a fun conversation until Holly Jonas’ (Ashley Puzemis) name came up.

Sophia admitted she never thought a boy would come between them, but she also pointed out that Holly’s lies, betrayal and slap were issues.

Tate was sorry for how things played out and basically confessed that he got Aaron Greene’s (Louis Tomeo) blessing to date Sophia to avoid any friendship drama. Sophia seemed offended over Aaron relinquishing his claim, but Tate insisted it wasn’t like that.

However, Sophia wondered what would happen if Holly wanted Tate back and became frustrated when he said he didn’t know. Since Sophia didn’t want to be a placeholder, she made it clear she wasn’t interested in being Tate’s consolation prize.

Tate assured Sophia that things went wrong with Holly from the start and that he was moving on. It’s just that Tate wanted to take things slow with Sophia and do this right, so she softened and got on board with spending more time together.

Tate invited Sophia back to his place for a movie, so Sophia happily accepted that invitation.

At the pub on Tuesday’s Days episode, Holly caught up with Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) following her Paris trip. After Holly offered updates on all the fake Abigail DiMera aka Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) mayhem, she admitted she forgave Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker).

Now that Holly understood why Nicole and Eric kept secrets about his role in Daniel Jonas’ (Shawn Christian) crash, she was ready to forgive Eric, too. Eric was moved and hugged Holly, so he shared how glad he was they could have this conversation before he went back to Paris.

Once Eric mentioned that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) was cleared, Holly was confused. Eric explained the whole situation, so Holly suddenly felt awful about how she’d treated Brady as well as Tate.

Although Holly wasn’t sure Tate could ever forgive her, Eric thought it was possible in time – just like it was possible for Holly to forgive Eric and Nicole. Holly was concerned about Tate moving on with Sophia and didn’t have time to wait around.

Once Holly made her way to the Kiriakis mansion on Tuesday’s DOOL show, she sent Tate a text hoping she could see him and looked pensive.

In lockup at the Salem PD, Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson) was thrown in the cell across from Cat, who learned he blew his one phone call on Clyde Weston (James Read) and wasn’t able to reach him.

Although Mark worried Clyde had no use for them or their hostage mother now, Cat tried to cling to hope that Catharina Meleounis Greene (last played by Ellie Patrikios) was still alive.

Cat also acknowledged her real feelings for Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and the fact that he hated her now. Since Aaron and Felicity Greene (Kennedy Garcia) needed them, Mark suggested they’d get out of this somehow.

At the Horton house on Tuesday’s Days episode, Chad gave Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) the news about his wedding to Cat and her fraud exposure. Julie was so sorry and wanted to comfort Chad with a pot of tea, but he took off to take care to something.

Once Cat was led to the Salem PD interrogation room, she learned she had a visitor and wondered who it was. Chad announced it was him as he came around the corner and glared at Gat.

At the townhouse on Tuesday’s Days episode, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) let Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) in and got the scoop on Mark and Cat’s link to Clyde.

Steve insisted that Cat and Mark’s mother was Catharina, so John Black (Drake Hogestyn) wasn’t responsible for her demise.

Since Clyde had been holding Catharina hostage, Steve couldn’t be sure she was still alive now. However, Steve did contact Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) and had him enforce more restrictions so that Clyde hopefully couldn’t issue a fatal order.

Since John didn’t have to feel guilty for taking out Catharina in the past, Marlena called him to deliver the good news while he was out of town.

Afterward, Marlena met up with Eric and learned he was returning to Paris, so she wished him well and hoped for more visits soon. Although Marlena alluded to John’s positive developments, she didn’t go into the details.
