Days of Our Lives Spoilers: This Week’s Must-See Moments
As we always do on early edition day, we talk about what’s coming the rest of this week and then what’s ahead for next week. So with that in mind, on Wednesday, April 30th, Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) is chatting with one of her associates at work, Dr. Jeffrey Russell. He’s the guy who’s working on a powerful new drug to treat sepsis. Kayla is pleading with Dr. Russell to give her the drug to save Bo Brady (Peter Reckell)’s life, but Dr. Russell says no.
Bo is not at that stage yet and he just can’t do it. Not legally, not ethically. There’s been no human trials. That would make Bo a guinea pig. It’s not even remotely legal. Then again, he’s not in the US. So, if they can get the drug where he’s at, the laws don’t apply, but in America, not legal.
Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman)’s at the mansion since Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) tossed him out over the whole adoption thing. And both of them think that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is still stuck at University Hospital.
So, he’s staying there right now. And Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) heads over to the mansion for a serious chat with Johnny about crushing her daughter Chanel. And Paulina also talks to Chanel and is offering her some hope after Johnny crushed her mom dream. Maybe she hears something from her son-in-law that encourages her.
DOOL Spoilers: EJ Comes Home
Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) brings EJ home from the hospital and that means Johnny is not going to stay there a moment longer. He’s not going to want to be under the same roof. Looks like he’s going to get a room at the Salem Inn. But first, Susan talks to Johnny and then she reports to EJ that his son is hiding something dark.
We’re going to get flashbacks to that confrontation on the night EJ was shot with Johnny holding a gun on his dad. So, we’ll have to see if it’s Johnny who’s thinking about it or if these are EJ memories clearing or if it’s Susan’s premonition. And when EJ tries to reason with Johnny, his son’s going to blow up and tell EJ he’s dead to him and then walk out without a backwards glance.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Gabi Accused
Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) surprises Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) when he runs into her and Felicity Greene (Kennedy Garcia) in the town square. Chad given Felicity a high five for her big wins at the school competition.
And Cat and Felicity also run into Chanel. And Cat is so thankful for Chanel’s support of her little sister Felicity at the medal ceremony. Meanwhile, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) accuses Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) of something. Maybe about the EJ shooting. Maybe about something else entirely. These two are not fans of each other.
Secrets, Suspicions, and a Daring Plan on Days of Our Lives
Thursday, May 1st, we’ve got Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and Kayla discussing a secret. It may be about the book that Stephanie is writing on the sly. And Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) finds Stephanie’s manuscript she’s working on. So, is this a romance novel? Leo makes a suggestion to Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) and Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) is arguing with Gabi. Now, we’ve seen that basically Xander Cook (Paul Telfer)’s hands are tied. He cannot fire Phillip.
So, he’s still his co-CEO. But I also doubt that Phillip would rock the boat to help Gabi at all. I mean, why would he? And on the subject of Titan, Xander puts his head together with Alex, who’s as cautious as he can actually trust. Over at the pub, Steve listens as Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) proposes that they steal the sepsis drug that can save Bo’s life. And you know, Steve is going to be in on Days of our Lives. He’s not going to let Bo die if there’s anything that he can do about it.
Emotional Turmoil and Unexpected Confrontations in Salem
Then on Friday, May 2nd, we’ve got Amy Choy irritating her daughter Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd). And it could be that her mom is back to saying, “Well, if there’s no adoption, then you and Tate Black (Leo Howard) are going to have to raise this baby,” which of course puts the kibosh on all of Sophia’s college plans, Tate’s plans, everything.
Marlena has some advice for Belle and it may be to walk away from EJ despite him swearing he’s changed. Xander (Paul Telfer) listens to some guidance from Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and it may be about forgiving Phillip.
Rita gets a new assignment from her boss EJ and I wonder if he’s going to have Rita do a bad thing or if he’s just going to have her trying to get information from him from events that he’s forgotten. Johnny is stunned when Tate shows up at his room at the Salem Inn and assaults him. Johnny backing out of the adoption is ruining Tate and Sophia’s plans and their lives.
Looking Ahead: Days of Our Lives Major Storylines for May 5th-9th
The week of May 5th through the 9th, we’ve got EJ trying to figure out what he’s forgotten leading up to the shooting and the day of the shooting and the shooting itself. So, he may have tasked Rita to find Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle) since that is the crux of Kristen DiMera‘s (Stacy Haiduk)’s anger and why she was waving a gun in his face. Hopefully, Johnny going to get a wakeup call and backtrack and tell Chanel that they can take the baby.
We also have to wonder if it’ll be Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) that finds out that Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) is staying at a homeless shelter or maybe Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) will intervene and he won’t ever wind up there. But it’s kind of sad, right? Steve and Shawn are plotting the heist of the drug to save Bo’s life. Question is, will Kayla turn a blind eye or will she actually aid and abet them stealing? Realistically, if Dr. Russell notices some of that drug is missing right after Kayla asked him about it, she needs a rock solid alibi.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Bo Wakes Up
Plus, JJ wants Gabi to forgive him. But arresting someone else is going to be the best thing to alleviate the tension. So, look for JJ to circle back around to EJ to see if his memories are coming back because he really wants to put the cuffs on somebody.
Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) comforts Shawn as guilt overwhelms him and he risks everything to save his dad, Bo. And we also have to ask, how long until Belle can’t resist the pull towards EJ and is over there at the DiMera mansion playing kissy face with him.
Sarah of course, decided not to come clean, so the stage is set for Xander to find out and explode at her. And look for more action on the John Black (Drake Hogestyn) storyline soon. Andrew Donovan (Colton Little) is out looking for answers.
He is going to find them and it’s clearly not going to be good news. It’s just a few weeks now until Bo and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) are back in Salem. So, in terms of good news versus bad news, looks like the heist works and Bo wakes up. We’ll see how that goes.
Days of Our Lives Cast Honors Drake Hogestyn with Pancreatic Cancer Walk
I also want to mention this is super cool. Martha Madison, Brandon Beamer, Dan Feuerriegel all participated with some other cast members in a walk to end pancreatic cancer. They did it in honor of castmate Drake Hogestyn, who of course lost his life to that cancer.
They raised $58,000 out on a wet, rainy day in LA. They did a walk and they all got wet. There was a bunch of cast members there. I’ll show you the picture. Cherie Jimenez is in there. Steven Nichols, Tina Huang, Kennedy Garcia, and others. Even Days alum, Tamara Braun was out there walking.
