GH fans know Michael was given an open-ended exit that sets up his comeback sooner or later.

Since Michael is receiving treatment in a fancy burn clinic in Germany, it’s just a matter of time until he’s healed enough to return to Port Charles.

Of course, Chad Duell hasn’t ruled out coming back to the ABC soap down the road, so that’s important to keep in mind.

We should also consider the possibility that a recast might step in, especially once it becomes necessary for Jason and Sasha’s story.

What happens once the baby’s born and Sasha potentially gets overwhelmed as a single parent?

Sasha might become more willing to accept help from Jason, who’s posing as the father of her child.

Jason and Sasha have been bonding lately, so they may end up truly falling for each other.

That could pave the way for a real family to form as Sasha and Jason raise the kid together.

Just when Jason and Sasha start living in a blissful bubble with this little one, that’s when Michael could return and shake things up!

Following Michael’s homecoming, he might see what he’s missing out on and officially want to claim the daddy title.

It could leave Michael determined to raise this child himself and shove Jason out of the picture.

Jason could be pretty attached to the baby or toddler by then.

It could bring some heartbreak for Jason if Michael wants to take his rightful place as this child’s father after all.

However, Michael only agreed to back off when he assumed Sasha would be raising this baby independently.

Although Michael wanted Jason to watch over Sasha, seeing Jason playing the role of a doting daddy could totally change his perspective.
